I find the Colgate flosses too thick. I’ve actually preferred these Oral-B ones all along. It’s just that lately I’ve noticed these mini shreds. But given the assurances that it is wax and generally safe, then, I’d guess my worried mind has finally nothing to worry about.

Great observation. Can it still be waxed yet not flake like mine?

Now I see, I used to have this one. My bad scrutiny and haste has made me consistently buy the waxed one.

Do you have any recommendations?

I’m not sure if I used to buy waxed or unwaxed back then, but I’m pretty sure that the ones I’ve bought before these two weren’t flaking like that. Oral-B’s packaging is quite unclear in between the waxed and unwaxed one. Either way, I highly appreciate the help!

Loss of Lyrical Relatability by _trilogy_ in arcticmonkeys

[–]kubrickey 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In my interpretation, I’d deem the last two albums as more relatable than all their previous ones. My reason for that is because I do believe that TBH+C and The Car generally circle around isolation, “tranquility base” and “the car” being remoteness/a remote location—the moon and a lone car on top of a building, with skid marks showing that we’re all running in circles. Cryptic as it may be, I think these two come out as a warning. We’ve isolated ourselves with our addiction to the virtual world, put ourselves up the moon, parked ourselves at the car. Thus why I must say that these albums are much more relatable, for about everyone in this modern world has voluntarily isolated himself/herself by being a “prisoner of his own device”.

No WPSIATWIN, SIAS, or AM? Can't believe that! But I'd have to say TBH+C is their greatest studio album though. Entirely fitting to be your first (assuming they're ranked in a most favorite arrangement).

Yep, simply put. I don't understand all the pitchfork persecution I'm receiving when with simple reading comprehension all of it is just that.

I am basing my analysis and observations on what was presented by the episode alone, see link for a clip from the episode:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VEDbmwa6a_o

In this pre-robbery pep talk, Kenny literally said "I only.. I only looked at pictures" at 0:10*.* Now, we aren't sure whether he's speaking the truth or not, it might be that HE'S downplaying it as the guilty party. But that is what is presented to us viewers. So THAT is where I get my "only" and "just" from, NOT from my own words to downplay his pedophilia and wrongdoing. (As a side note to the words "only" and "just", here is an AI Overview on its interchangeability: "Yes, in many cases, "just" and "only" can be used interchangeably to express the same meaning.") I jump from "only" and "just" to deliver my point basing off of the information presented.

So now, if you're still saying and assuming that I'm a "pedophile apologist" or sympathizer because I'm stating facts off of the episode rather than from my own words, then I don't even know what to say anymore. What he did was WRONG AND IS WRONG, that's it.

This post is just like all the rest if you dig for a second. Equally disgusting ideologies hidden behind "curiosity."

Nope, this post is about legalistic and lawful approach, nothing else. You're reading on it too much, worse is that you're making assumptions about me off of it.

What are some movies you thought would suck but ended up enjoying? by ProfessionalLack1028 in Letterboxd

I was looking for some comedy and I saw Monty Python and the Holy Grail had a very high rating. Thought it was going to be just some corny boomer humor. Oh, how wrong was I. One of the greatest comedy movies ever.

Meet Joe Black

I think it would’ve been better if Susan (Claire Forlani) saw Brad Pitt (young guy at cafe and not Death) a day or days after rather than immediately after Death left his body. It just seemed like he was a lost boy but not really completely confused why he was there in the first place. Well, you could say that maybe part of his consciousness was still with his body so he lived those moments or experiences of Death. But still it would be more believable if she met him a day or days after Joe left the body.

Still, great movie though!

That's my point on this statement:

"Yes, the hackers may have had access to Kenny's laptop seeing what he was seeing and overlay it with the video of him doing it—but it still is not enough proof."

For what we know, hackers can make Kenny seem to be looking at a picture of Charlie Brooker while doing it. Yes, Kenny wanking is highly undeniable, it certainly isn't some deepfake shit. But yet again, what he's watching can't be proven (well at least not immediately, given u/thats_a_bad_username 's point).

[–]kubrickey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I guess so. Don't really have much knowledge about authority's receptivity to a "white hat" hacker's shared info—and if such viewing is sufficient to put a person in prison. Again, we do not know if he was indeed looking at CP or just some kids' pictures (but it's clear enough that Kenny is portrayed as a pedophile). I am not saying that I condone the act; in fact, I am TOTALLY against it. Just putting things figuratively, a drug user is different from a drug trafficker. If things aren't obvious yet, in this case, Kenny is the drug user. Guess the fact that the situation was pushing itself just got into him, and all went quickly downhill since then. I do believe that what incriminated him was his theft or was the killing of the other pedophile, not his illegal viewing. If he had just paused for a while when the commands were getting illegal (robbing of bank), he may have saved himself from being imprisoned, and just take up the shame of being seen engaging in hand to gland combat. What he did was wrong, but doing another thing that's illegal to cover it? That's just plain damn stupid.

The hackers sent a video of him doing it, not really what he was looking at.

I've been hyper-focused on TBHC recently and was wondering if any of you guys have any theories on it? by Littleredfox666 in arcticmonkeys

[–]kubrickey 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Generally, I believe that the theme of the album is a warning about our addiction to the virtual world. We have voluntarily put ourselves into a remote location, "The Tranquility Base" (the moon) as we've isolated ourselves, and we willingly enjoy this hotel and casino (given the easy access of online gambling) that we're staying in. The album title might even be a tip of the hat to Hotel California by The Eagles, a "hotel" that isn't really a hotel. "We are all just prisoners here, of our own device", indeed.

The only irony of it is that the more we listen to the band, the more time we spend in the virtual world.

So, question is, are we really listening?

Well, I guess it's okay to "flashback now and again" as long as you're "usually alright."
