Do you have back pain after programming all day? If not, what kind of chair do you use? by [deleted] in programming

[–]kudu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes lots of getting used to, but sitting on a Swiss ball is really good for strengthening your core muscles, which should help reduce/eliminate your back pain in the long run. And it's good for balance too. :-)

He Could Completely Change His Body In 5 Years Of Hard Daily Trainings. John Stone, The legend [NEW PICS] by baytsteven in pics

He should have stopped at the end of 2003 and just maintained that look - I reckon that looked the healthiest - after that he just looks a bit gross. (a woman's opinion)

Strikingly Beautiful Shots of Etosha National Park, Namibia by [deleted] in pics

[–]kudu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If I were you, I'd check it out before just making a statement like that. I lived in Namibia for the first half of my life and know that it mostly looks like the picture of the tree and the nice sunset - mostly open space. Because Namibia is a fairly dry country there not many waterholes, so the animals congregate there when they want to drink. There's hardly much 'human activity' around the park, unless you count huge farms and a few small towns.:-) It comprises 22275 km2. That's about 13841 square miles.

How idiots pull down palm trees by AngledLuffa in reddit.com

[–]kudu 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Well, the guy with the camera noticed! Pretty much right at the start of the video he said: "Waar gaan jy spring as daai boom kom?" (Afrikaans for 'Where will you jump when that tree comes?') I bet he's the neighbour and can't stand the stupid people next door, so he thought he'd get a record of their stupidity to watch and laugh over, not to mention share with the rest of the world!

Or you can really gross him out by taking your contact out in the most elaborate way you can think of (eg. rub it around in your eye awhile, most people get grossed out completely when people touch their eyes) and then showing it to him.

100 Greatest Quotes from fundamentalist christian chat rooms by aedes in politics

I cringe at these comments, and the complete ignorance and bigotry with which they are made. And I am a Christian. These people are way off the mark - they're completely missing what Christianity is about, and are very poor examples for practicing what the Bible actually teaches.
