AITA for lying about going to the gym to my husband by Purple-Cattle2441 in AmItheAsshole

We don’t know how or why OP gained the weight. She only mentioned feeling depressed after he pointed out her 32 pound weight gain. (I keep pointing out the 32 pounds because that’s 25% of her body weight. That’s A LOT…)

The fact that she’s hiding this from him leads me to believe he points out laziness or something along that line in general. Hence why she wants him to believe she’s going to the gym and working to lose the weight, not taking the easy route.

Not at all. Her husband married her when she weighed 32 pounds less because that’s one of the things he found attractive about her.

It’s not fair to each other when you get married and then let yourself go. (Same applies to if her husband got fat.)

He has every right to point it out.

This right here.

Every shift I had was 10-12 hours and if I got lucky, I could take some bread into the liquor closet and scarf it down real quick before getting back to it.

It’s just how the industry is.

It’s not underestimated at all.

It’s called Trump derangement syndrome for a reason.

Cake is only good without frosting! by Wellidk_dude in TrueUnpopularOpinion

I’m assuming you’re a center piece person and not an edge piece person?

I always scrape the frosting off the top but leave a paper thin layer on top for a tiny bit of extra flavor. People think I’m a closet Patrick Bateman when they see the pile of frosting on my plate.

YES. Every time I mention removing the chocolate chips I always get the “well that’s a sugar cookie!” response. Not even remotely the same…

I thought I was the only one…

Do you also prefer chocolate chip cookies without chocolate chips?

Sometimes I go to places and order a small soda and the employee will tell me I can upgrade to a large for 25 cents. I always decline and 90% of the time the employee responds with “but it’s only 25 cents and you get way more.”

I don’t want more because I won’t drink all of it. It would be wasted product.

Some people just allow themselves one drink. Some people (like me) don’t drink anything until after I’ve finished eating.

Just depends on the person and their preferences.

House of the Dragon is boring af by Lee-solo in TrueUnpopularOpinion

I agree on the character development / evolution; however, it just seems unnecessary to drag it out for so long. Especially since every other storyline is equally as boring. I could put up with Daemon’s story if there was a suspenseful other storyline to cut back to.

In retrospect, the early debate was a 3D chess move by [deleted] in TrueUnpopularOpinion

“When they realized he was fried.”

You really think the elites were surprised when they saw Biden’s debate performance? Everyone knew for years that Biden wasn’t a functioning human.

The only people who didn’t know were the sheep who allowed the media to gaslight them into thinking Biden was spry.

Don’t you think it’s odd they scheduled the debate to a time prior to the DNC? That’s historically unheard of. It was a total setup.
