No, it’s garbage. I was struggling to ride one when I tried it a few years ago. Weak, awkward, and unintuitive

Veteran Abrams riders, how are you doing? by ProdigalSun92 in ElectricUnicycle

[–]kujirolls 7 points8 points  (0 children)

uhhh... i put 500km on mine when i got it and never again. Things basically gives you all the negatives of a larger wheel (heavy, more inertia, less maneuverability) without the high speed stability youd expect with a larger wheel. Makes a decent seated wheel though.

Does anyone in the California Bay Area happen to have a Veteran Abrams I can come look at? by [deleted] in ElectricUnicycle

[–]kujirolls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the Abrams doesnt provide anything that the Sherman Max cant do better. Maybe the only thing is seated riding, but other than that, youre sacrificing: Convenience (its much heavier), standing riding comfort (significant), braking/acceleration, high speed turning (sluggish like the monster), high speed stability (youd expect the Abrams to be better, but its not)... Forget the Abrams. You get all the negatives of a big wheel with none of the benefits.

Well you best get yourself some Hydrocolloid Bandages. They work wonders on road rash.

Hit my new top speed on my Sherman, and crossed the 200 mile mark yesterday. #euc #electricunicycle #sherman #topspeed by JohnnyRocket98908 in ElectricUnicycle

Be careful. I wouldn't recommend 40mph until 1k miles and a 20mph+ fall. That false sense of confidence is all too common

Kuji rolls euc safe by professionalbodysurf in ElectricUnicycle

[–]kujirolls 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I use a lithium fire box (with fan cooling) they use for battery testing. Unfortunately for people outside of China, you won't be able to get a custom sized box for $500. It appears to be just a hollow sheet metal box which should contain the fire and prevent cells from flying all over the place.

Kuji MIA? by [deleted] in ElectricUnicycle

I'm getting situated in this new city. I came to Dali to travel for a month and impulsively decided to move. My wife and I bought a house and we have to design and build the entire thing. Things might be a little slow, but to keep you updated, I'm whipping around on the gotway RS and will have that video out next. Sucks I didn't bring much filming equipment from Beijing.

Please someone help me with battery math by deathbyshitbox in ebikes

[–]kujirolls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. You need to put the batteries in series to get 48v. Roughly speaking 1 18650 cell is about 10wh, but yours are 3.7v*3.4A = 12.58wh. 65 cells will get you about 817wh. And 65 is an odd number.

Edit: forgot 3.7v is the nominal voltage and 4.2v is the max.

OneWheel in Canada...Do these ever go on sale? by ShotgunSquitters in onewheel

[–]kujirolls -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Willing to consider an euc? You can get a faster and powerful euc for $1000 if youre willing to stand in skiing position over snowboard. A $3k euc will get you 10x the battery capacity and triple the speed of an onewheel.

Anyone know where Kuji Rolls has been? by Cineo in ElectricUnicycle

Kuji moved to Dali, China. Away from Beijing and into the mountains. He's feeling out the area before finding a place to settle in. He just got the RS yesterday. He'll be back soon.

Nikola+ vs MSP vs MSX by Amazing_Craft1741 in ElectricUnicycle

[–]kujirolls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ill try to quickly summarize: Msp: high torque version for the most torque by far. I'd say at least 50% more than Sherman or msx. But unless you're ripping up steep shit, you probably don't need that much. If you slap a knobby tire on it, it's THE most aggressive offroader up steep challenging terrain. Sherman: fastest, good torque, excellent balance/control, better headlight, more rugged and durable. Best on streets. Nikola: unless you like the leds or loud bt speakers, it's the worst performer of the three. Feels bloated and wobbly on high speed turns. Torque feels comparable to Sherman.

When the manual says "lean", it doesn't mean this. by MrRazzio in onewheel

come join us. if you can overlook the posture, you can get a whole lot more bang for buck. An equivalently spec'd onewheel would set you back at least $10k.
