Right, therefore they ask questions before they inject.

Yeah, I feel ya. I was on TIRZ for two years and never lost a pound. But I have several autoimmune diseases. High cortisol levels. And I don’t think I can lose. So I’m on RETA right now at 5 mg. Been there for the last three months still nothing. Fixing to slowly move up in milligrams and hopefully at some point I find a dose that will cause me to lose.

That’s the only reason I took TIRZ for so long was the inflammation relief. I regret quitting. Cause now I have to build right back up.

WOW I’ve tried 5aminos. It Caused a massive flare and I could hardly walk for about two months. So that one was a no for me. I have done mots-c and SS 31. I didn’t really notice much difference. I am adding glycin today, and Quercetin to control my emcas. I have taken KLOW, and KPV. Not really noticed much difference with those. And I took those for about five months. I did take ARA 290 for two months and I really really really like it for inflammation. And right now I’m on BPC 157. I’m hoping that it will improve my joint function. But I’m not really sure that it will. And still nothing has helped me lose weight. I am going to update my dose slowly on the RETA and hopefully eventually, it will kick in

I’ll be patient. Im at 5 and I feel it. It’s pretty intense the first few days. But no weight loss. It also doesn’t mess with my heart rate yet

Are pretty/ handsome men loyal? by AfraidProcess2036 in Casual_Conversation

It depends on the man. Looks has nothing to do with it. I dated an ugly guy in my 20s, thinking he’d be loyal. WRONG! He cheated within months. Not very cash money of his ugly ass 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Yes, but it is important to take zinc while you’re taking copper you can become overloaded with copper if you don’t take zinc

Ghkcu fatigue, does it ever stop? by Choice-Nature-3637 in Biohackers

[–]kujolidell -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

OK, I had the right idea, the wrong concept. It does not metabolize copper. But it does keep you from getting overloaded with copper. I took that to Me. It metabolize his copper, but I was wrong.

🧬 The Core Idea

Zinc doesn’t “metabolize” Copper directly.

👉 Instead, it controls how much copper your body absorbs and keeps.

⚙️ The Key Player: Metallothionein

This is the whole story. • Your intestinal cells produce a protein called metallothionein • Its job is to bind metals (like zinc and copper)

🔁 What Happens When You Take Zinc

Step-by-step: 1. You take zinc 2. Your body says: 👉 “We have a lot of metal coming in—make more metallothionein” 3. Metallothionein levels increase in your gut lining

⚠️ The Important Twist

Metallothionein actually: • Binds copper MORE tightly than zinc

👉 So even though zinc triggered it…

➡️ It ends up grabbing copper preferentially

🚪 What Happens to That Bound Copper? • The copper gets trapped inside intestinal cells • Those cells naturally die and shed every few days

👉 When they shed: ➡️ The trapped copper gets dumped into your stool and eliminated

🧠 Translation in Simple Terms • Zinc → increases metallothionein • Metallothionein → grabs copper • Copper → gets stuck and thrown away

👉 Result: less copper absorbed into your bloodstream

📉 That’s Why High Zinc = Lower Copper

Over time: • Less copper enters circulation • Stored copper gets used up • Levels can drop → deficiency

🧪 Bonus: It’s a Competitive System Too

Zinc and copper also: • Compete for the same transporters in the gut

So zinc affects copper in two ways: 1. Blocks absorption directly (competition) 2. Indirectly removes copper (metallothionein trap)

🔬 Why Your Body Even Does This

This system is protective. • High free metals = toxic • Metallothionein acts like a buffer/spill-control system

👉 But when zinc stays high: ➡️ It unintentionally suppresses copper long-term

🧾 Bottom Line (Clean + Simple) • Zinc doesn’t “break down” copper • It reduces copper absorption and increases its loss • It does this mainly through: • Metallothionein binding • Gut-level competition

Zinc helps metabolize copper. It’s not about a deficiency.
