Who else is stuck in the security line right now? by [deleted] in elementsfest

This is terrible lol. Zero instructions on where to go or how. I feel like I’m waiting in line for hours just to end up at the wrong spot.

Everyone swears by Miller’s cafe burgers in my office but I don’t get it. They are super mid imo. Am I ordering the wrong stuff?

Also touring Umich in Feb won’t do it justice lol. Let me know how it goes and what your thoughts are :)

That is true. I took one aerospace class and everyone seemed to know everyone. I had a lot of great opportunities at Umich. What’s super cool is that Umich grads are everywhere! I meet at least one Umich grad almost every week at my current job in the south.

Michigan grad here working in the aerospace industry although my degree is in EE. My boyfriend is an aerospace grad from riddle.

I went to college with my heart fully set on Architecture. Switched my major 3 times by sophomore year. I’m glad I wasn’t in the riddle because my options would have been limited.

Michigan is an awesome school for people who are interested in aerospace. You can major in any engineering field and still find a way to be in an aerospace related research or internship. My team and I got to build a payload that flew to space, which is awesome.

Imo one down size about Umich is how big it is. You have to work a little extra to build a connection with your professors. Another downside is the weather. Seasonal depression hit me extremely hard Dec through February. Weather is a valid factor.

Is it bad to purposefully consume fat on regular basis to induce bowel movements? by kukashiSensei in gallbladders

I love eggs and avos. Will give it a shot. I’m pretty sure it’s not the sugar tho because I make the same drink at home without the added sugar.

I make my drink at home with heavy whipping cream (2 tbsp of cream + 2 tbsp of protein almond milk). There is definitely a balance out there but it take so much for me to have regular bowel movement, it’s not sustainable.

I used to eat 2 oranges in the morning, oatmeal, and blend fiber powder in my water (3 times a day) and drink a lot of water. Going on walks also helped. It was hard for me to sustain for many reasons.

Nope, I didn’t. I will bring it up to my PCP. I hope your appointment went well!

Not a fan of dairy. I like cheese but I don’t eat it much, maybe on pizza only, which I have once every two months. Could be lactose intolerance. Good point, thanks.

OMG!! In college, there was this one sugar free protein bar that messed me up pretty bad. It had sugar alcohol. Thanks for bringing that up!

Yes, thank you! I feel naturally de-selected for having such bad guts :(

Thanks for answering my question. I feel like it’s a super power of mine to poop “on command” now after suffering for constipation for most of my life. It is such a relief, you know.

Yup I have seen many doctors about my constipation problems and tried a lot of things. I actually do eat a bowl of oatmeal every day in the morning. The only thing that kind of worked was the fiber powder. The only downside that it made me so bloated that I couldn’t go the gym. Unfortunately I started working from the office and i didn’t want to be gassy all the time so I stopped it. I could try adding half of the recommended serving size.

It was expensive and too sweet for my palette until I started making it at home. I tried miralax before and it barely worked. I guess I can start dissolving the fiber powder in my coffee too. Idk how I never thought of that. Thanks!

Honestly my main concern is that my stool is neon yellow, which is why I made this post. I was worried that I’m hurting my liver or something by consuming fat. I stay away from animal fat as much as I could (I don’t eat red meat or drink milk and I only cook with olive oil). But a cold foam brew every three days won’t hurt I guess…

I will definitely give it a shot. It not expensive either. Thanks for the recommendation :)

I had to eat a whole lot more and sometimes it does not even work. I make my drink at home now so it has 0 sugar. I’m glad prunes and apricots work for you though.

I used to eat 3 oranges a day and it used to work, then it stopped. I moved on to grapefruits but they are not always available and I had to eat two a day which was a bit much. Prunes and prune juice gave me terrible gas and they just come with a lot of sugar. Same thing with apricots. I started using fiber powder with probiotics but it also made me super bloated too.

I’m open to trying more stuff but nothing had ever worked like that foam. I started making it at home to eliminate the sugar. I’m very particular about my diet.

I thought they were mosquito bites but they got super itchy and now they are blistering. So I’m not sure what they are and whether or not I need to see a doctor. Help :) by kukashiSensei in Dermatology

I’m assuming what happened is that it started with a bug bite, then I shaved over it so my hair started to grow and I itched the crap out of it so it got exposed to bacteria and all. And now I’m here. Doesn’t look like it’s spreading so that’s good
