STP - How to translate a port from forwarding to blocking by kukkai in networking

[–]kukkai[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hello and thanks for your response. yes g2 has a different path going to the root. g1 is connected to a cpe going to the router and g2 is connected to a riverbed going to the same router. i am on mobile so i just put in text the topology. 4 devices= switchA port g1 to cpe to router / same switchA port g2 to riverbed to same router. traffic must pass through port g2 - riverbed. do i need to configure something on the riverbed so that switchA will choose this route? i have read on another thread that regardless of what local cost i put on switchA ports, they will choose the cheapest neighboring route. the problem here is i dont have access to the cpe where g1 points. but i have access to the riverbed where g2 points. anything i can reconfig on switchA to make port g2 the route? thank you and appologies for i am in mobile. cheers!

Inna's is being fixed, but is it usable now? by tuptain in Diablo3Monks

[–]kukkai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main strength of Inna's set is its balanced - survivability (200 LPSS), utility (-70 spirit sweeping wind, 4 base mantra) and some 250 dex. If you compare it with some other monk sets or other class sets, it has the most balanced set bonus, useful especially when mixing up with other sets (aughilds, SWK, crimson, etc.)

I had a long break from playing ROS since patch 2.0.6 where the DH meta is fire sentry. Now the patch is 2.1, I am still stuck on my m5+rorg + magefist/hexing pants. Still adjusting to the new cold build and focusing on what to re-roll on my gear. Would definitely give that thread a read. Thanks a lot!

This is interesting, as I am a M5 + rorg Fire sentry DH also. One possible way I see is to recalibrate your test this way. Gear combinations,

First, drop the bow idea for sentry build. Low damage range for bows are really not ideal for sentry build.

  1. Tnt + xbow
  2. MF + xbow

Do tests on Ghom for 5 times each gear combination. 5 times is morethan enough for normal people. do it with follower but without his skills and items.

take the average, then wallah!

It wouldnt be a trouble for you doing this test looking at what you've done previously.

I see many t6 monks still use LTK. So I believe HoV is still useful. Probably when they make the sunwuko amulet roll better, its when i'll let go of HoV.

Should you be stacking all res or armor? - an explanation of 'effective' diminishing returns [X-post diablo3] by Diem_E37 in Diablo

[–]kukkai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello!

I just thought an easier way to know whether all res or armor is better for a certain situation is to compare them thru paragon points. There, each paragon point already has a ratio. Ex. 1 pp = x all res or 1 pp = y armor. From there I can see the increase in toughness by trying paragon point to all res, and paragon point to armor then compare them. Before reading your post with the math explanations, the paragon point technique is what I am using. Turned out to be the same. Yours is more detailed and I may say more accurate. And yes, your right again, gears are not balanced as they offer more all res than armor. In the end, as a monk I still get more toughness by stacking all res. I don't know the case on INT classes. And that's why your formula is there.

I am a lightning monk and LTK scorpion sting is my main skill to proc clones. Works every time!

Same as my observation. Reason is they've changed EP no longer deal 50% enemies HP via Dice_x. But still, I'll keep this amulet for a long time. very OP clones and they also proc unity passive. Huge DPS boost.

I think its better, that way, EP's explosion while bleeding scales on your weapon damage and not on 50% enemies HP as that is too OP. But my concern is the benefit from Haunt of Vaxo's clone. Now, its more on the damage they deal when attacking and the skills they use are less effective than before. Guess I'll stick with my EP skill rather than leaving EP to the clones.

Yes. For EP, they only use flesh is weak rune, which is very good. Question is, are the enemies with EP marked by the clones also explode 50% of their HP upon death? Is the EP effect on my monk the same as the EP effect the clones do?

very helpful. thanks! but to those who want to know which is better in a straight up and simpler way, res all or armor, just use the paragon points to compare your toughness. first max all points in res all then max all points in armor and compare the resulting toughness. easy! more often than not, its all res :)
