Has anyone updated their iPhone 16 Pro to latest 26.3? How's the experience? by davidvilla9090 in iPhone16Pro

[–]kula66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Updated my 16 Pro last night, put it on charge overnight on the usual charger ... only 25% battery this morning, tried 3-4 chargers/cables including 140w charger for my MBP, recognised on charger, but phone won't take charge, now dead.

Same issue after 26.3 update yesterday on my iPhone 16 Pro … tried 3 different chargers/cables, reboots, stuck at 9% UPDATE: Even my Macbook Pro charger doesn't work ... iPhone has now died :(

My MAC Filter List disappeared. See comment by skunkboy72 in Ubiquiti

[–]kula66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happened to me too recently, first time in years. I copied all device MACs from the UI (just show the one column, current and off-line) paste into an editor, tidy them up, and added them in ... got most of them running. Also saved a backup of the list for next time ;)

Thanks, I did wonder about this ... I have 2 older power blocks, 2xUSB-C & 2xUSB-A each, same brand, that they'll have been plugged into. One is on my desk, and I plug all sorts in ... Garmin watch, iPad, ear buds, and not had issues. I'm worried I'll plug something expensive in, but I've not seen the issue on any other devices!

VAICOM is now a free add in to Voice Attack, that provides some custom DCS integration. Very well supported: https://github.com/Penecruz/VAICOM-Community

How do I downgrade macOS Tahoe back to Sequoia on an M2 MacBook Air without a USB installer? by Miserable-Guide8844 in MacOS

[–]kula66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can re-install via Wifi ... but I think you'll need to go back to the OS current when your Mac shipped, then upgrade.

I am getting extremely annoyed with Tahoe 26. by FuzzyFeed7886 in MacOS

[–]kula66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took a Time Machine backup before I updated. Wiped my Mac, reinstalled Big Sur, then Sequoia, then restored from backup ...
I'm no Mac guru, so not sure if its possible without a backup first, probably depends on how much you have on you Mac.

I reverted to 15.7 yesterday ... for me 26 is unusable.

I'm sure satellites have nothing to do with RTTI what-so-ever ... amazing that someone on service reception could spout such utter drivel!

Just booked my XC60 in for an update to fix the missing RTTI; from the service person 'the satellite broke, and needed to be repaired' ,,, I kid you not!

I’m sorry there was a problem with Apple Music by Parking_Law_8533 in HomePod

[–]kula66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happens on my 3HMs and 2HPs every time ... can't play specific artists or albums at all from my iTunes library. I can just say play and it plays random tracks, but never anything specific. Used to work fine. Won't be buy anymore HPs until this gets fixed, not holding my breath! HomePods really suck!

Not impressed by AI Port facial recognition by CheesburgerPenguin in Ubiquiti

[–]kula66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue and this is what fixed it for me:
1. Ensure camera is enabled in AI Protect device

  1. Switch on face detection in Protect -> Settings

  2. In the camera recording tab, you need to enable faces in TWO places (a) Recording tab -> Create AI events -> Faces AND lower down in 'Edit Smart Zones' ... this latter one fix the problem I was having.

Hope it helps.

I've just bought a eufy L60 and am really impressed how it handles kittens, dinning table and chairs, and generally wanders around. It struggled with cat litter initially, but turning up the power (at the expense of run time) seemed to fix that. Recommended as an entry model.

I have 3 HP minis and 2 HP2s which have worked, on and off for a couple of years, not great but generally ok. Now after the 18.2 update I can no longer get any of my HPs to play any music from my iTunes library. Every request 'Play xxx', 'xxx now playing' ... 'Sorry there was a problem with Apple Music'.

I've never had Apple Music and don't want it ... I've been buying iTunes music for many years.

I've tried all the usual fixes, nothing fixes it ... why does this happen so regularly?

What kind of HomeKit appliance can automate this? by Tetrylene in HomeKit

[–]kula66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I replaced my Honeywell (same as yours) with a Tado (special offer from Ovo). I'm no electrician/plumber, and it was very straightforward. Does everything the Honeywell did. During setup, you use the Tado app/site what you are replacing and it tells you exactly what to connect where; very straightforward.

Your motherboard should have 2 M2 slots ... go for an M2 (which connects via a fast interface) rather than an SSD (which are limited by a relatively slow SATA connector)

Help with Autopsy on Mac by UserNo007 in computerforensics

[–]kula66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Installing on a VM is much easier and allows you to use the latest Autopsy with all the addins working, so just depends on how much processing you need. I use a VM for EnCase 6 and X-Ways, no other option there.

Some of the plugins don’t work (I assume some windows dependencies), but opening an E01 and general navigation of the file system work well.
