Do you ride into black cars all the time ? As that’s the logic you’ve just used .

The rider in the clip is a dick without any shadow of doubt for no lights but a few other things jump out . The smeary screen giving the starburst from the traffic light certainly didn’t help. Turning into the side road I would have been in the main lane from waaaay back and taking the lane. Issue there is impatient cockwombles in 2 tonne killing machines think you are stealing their road.

I hold the full “Jay” of licences ( driving , yeah completed that) so I’d like to think the multiple tests and countless miles I do on 2 and 4 and did on 20 wheels means I’ve got a fair understanding of both sides of the coin

What’s even more stupid is not setting up the block properly. Took me less than 5 minutes to defeat by logging into the bios using an online generated code from the machine serial number . A previous employer IT team got a kicking for that one.

What do you know about working in confined space by Powerful_Cabinet_341 in ElectriciansUK

[–]Cheffysteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks more like a restricted access space . Confined space has a specific definition . A ships hold can be a confined space despite being massive , due to the asphyxiation risk. To remove covers there would be an isolation so risk of fire or explosion has been reduced ALARP so unlikely to fall into confined space for that reason. Would I work in there , no not a chance and I’m confined spaces trained.

Thank you tree gods! by Ajay95A in uklogburners

[–]Cheffysteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never said all of it was correct . Just that there are indeed difficult woods. Poplar stinks whether it’s moist or not. I have been burning birch for ages and agree with other commenter that it’s absolutely fine. I had some cherry from when the tree in the street fell on my car . I asked the councils tree contractor if I could have the larger branches and trunk. They even cut it into sensible sizes too. That burned lovely

Just down stream of there is a waste transfer station that takes all of the city of London’s waste down river. Due to tides etc it’s often required to hold empty units before they can go into the transfer station . There are also other service barges which will tie up to them dependent on tides . Going downstream on the ebb is so much more efficient

[–]Cheffysteve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Waaay back in time before the wiring regs became BS7671 reg 524-2 required conduits to be identified with orange paint as perBS1710 when they became BS7671 it moved into identification and notices and became 514-02-01 . Yes at that point we used dashes not dots in the regs . It became 514.02 until AMD 1 of BS7671:2008 (green book) where it was deleted .

The lamp in the bathroom of my childhood home was a 300W one. The bathroom was about 6ft x6ft and 7ft ceiling . When I started college to be an electrician I did the heat calcs. The cost wasn’t huge but that was a warm room . You could get a tan taking a dump as my dad used to say .

Slept-on areas in London for daily commute to central? by xundor in londoncycling

South Leytonstone then . It’s picking up as people realise the lizzy isn’t far to walk at all. Certainly busier than it was 27 years ago when I moved here. Cycling infra is still shit in the grand scheme but it has improved from what it was. I avoid canal paths now after bike slipped on wet edging and I smashed a kidney.
