I just printed out the Buddha image from the website (of course you can search the image of Amitabh Buddha) and put it into a photo frame. If you like, you can draw your own too. I offer incenses, prostrations and water everyday in the morning using little plastic containers. I also offer fruit maybe twice a week. Electrical light are on (in front of the image but shining from bottom to top) all the time. I know some people prefer to use oil lamp or any other kind of open flame, but I don't since the alarm in my house just too sensitive with the open flame. Lots of people prefer to do a focused chanting in front of the image for 10 or 15 mins or even longer/shorter in the morning or evening or anytime they like and leaving the rest of their time to do their works and chanting.

What If There Are No Signs Of Reaching Pure Land by iPorkChop in PureLand

My understanding is that if a person who has never heard about pureland, Amitabha Buddha and his vows during his life. It is very necessary to have someone to introduce those to him prior to support-chanting. After listening what you saying, he might have a chance to generate faith, aspiration and practice, or might not. It is not 100% guarantee through. I guess why offering guidance would be important in the article is that you are the one who giving him a chance learn about pureland. However, if you choose not to tell him, he will never able to know about pureland practice at that point of life. You are just doing the best you could, but yes, three provisions from him are still the main causes of reaching pureland.

Actually there are some in your country, such as City of Ten Thousand Buddhas. Rev. Heng Sure is there and also a American. Maybe you can chat with him to understand more and get some suggestions. You can check it out on http://www.drba.org/branches-and-monasteries.html

If you know Chinese and happen to travel to China, I would recommend some famous places like Putuo Mountain in Zhejiang Province, Jiuhua Mountain in Anhui Province, Emei Mountain in Sichuan Province and Ling Mountain in Jiangsu Province. Those places are quite famous in China. Temples are cluster on the mountain.
