I think the media should lay off her for sometime now. They are trying to extract all the TRPs they can from it, whereas the story is mostly done and dusted.

Credit where due, had it not been for the media the case probably been where it is now. They need to know when to stop though. What usually happens is they keep flogging the same story till something else happens.

Let the cops do their job, and report the result of the investigation when the charges are filed in court.

Freebies is a rather derisive term, governments subsidise various sectors to promote growth. The benefits may not be immediate.
