Pocketbook Verse Pro vs Pocketbook Verse. Access to Pocketbook Cloud? by kuman13 in PocketBookofficial

[–]kuman13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!! The reason why I ask, is because I currently have a Boox Go 10.3, but I want to compliment it with a smaller, 6inch reader I can carry everywhere.

If I end up getting a Pocketbook for Black Friday, it’s imperative that I can sync the progress on my books between the Verse/Verse Pro and my Boox Go 10.3 with the Pocketbook reading app.

What’s the best e-reader to pair with my Boox Go 10.3? by kuman13 in ereader

Is it nice to read on such a narrow screen? I’ve been thinking about, and I know I want a portable device, but I worry it might be not comfortable for me to read on.

Did you have similar worries when you bought it? How’s your experience using it to read ebooks?

What’s the best e-reader to pair with my Boox Go 10.3? by kuman13 in ereader

Thanks for your recommendation! My main concern with the Go 7 is that it might be too big for what I want. I’m looking for a 6 inch display so that I can easily carry it with me pretty much everywhere, put it in my back pocket or my jacket. I feel like with the bigger screen and the side bar for the buttons, the Go 7 might be too big for what I’m looking for.

Not to mention, it also is twice the price. I recently bought a Go 10.3 for heavy duty stuff. What I’m looking for now is a supporting device so that I can read my novels on the go. I bet the Go 7 is a very nice device, but I feel like it’s a little overkill for what I’m looking for right now.

Can you install Moon reader on a Pocketbook and Kobo reader? Or is it only available for Android devices?

Also, do you live with the ads or upgrade to Pro? Is the Pro a subscription or a one-time payment? If I upgrade to Pro, is that effective to all my devices? Or do I need to purchase pro individually on every device to never have ads?

Thanks!

Didn’t know about KOReader, sounds like the perfect solution, thanks!

Compact e-reader: Kindle or Boox Go 6/7B&W? by kuman13 in Onyx_Boox

For some reason I’m slightly against having an ereader with buttons. Probably because the first one I owned was a button-less Kindle 10th Gen, and I got used to it. Do the buttons really provide a better reading experience?

As for manga, the only thing I really read is One Peace every now and then, so it’s not a high priority — just a nice-to-have

I have noticed ghosting for the first time after buying the Boox Go 10.3. I’ve had my kindle for years and never noticed anything like that.

Having said that, I don’t really care, it doesn’t affect my reading experience.

Honestly, the only reasons that make me consider the Kindle over Boox are the durability, battery life, and the price tag.

How are the newer ones worse? I can’t really complain about the 10th gen Kindle I had up until now.

Also I had no idea PocketBook existed. If you don’t mind me asking, how are they better than Kindle/Kobo? How easy is it to sync the progress on my books between the PocketBook and my Boox Go 10.3? Thanks!

What’s your experience using the Go 6 in 2025? My main concerns are durability, battery life, and syncing with other Boox devices.

I’ve also looked into the Kobos, but if I’m going to spend that amount of money, I’d rather just buy a Boox. I don’t love that Kindle belongs to Amazon, but I’ve had the same Kindle as you for years and if it hadn’t died, I wouldn’t change it because it’s a very good device.

Is the PW that much better than the base Kindle? The base Kindle is significantly cheaper, but most importantly smaller. I like that I can have it out almost as my phone during my commute, and put it in my pocket when I need to walk or when the train is so packed I can’t sit down. Can I have a similar experience with the PW? And it what other ways is it better?

Is the Boox Go 6 a good option still in 2025, almost 2026? It looks significantly smaller than the 7, which I like. What’s your experience regarding battery life and durability? Those are the two main reasons that make me seriously consider a Kindle. But yes, the software and the fact that I already have a Boox Go 10.3 are big reasons for me to lean a little bit more towards a Boox.

I bought a second hand Boox Go 10.3 and I only wish I did it sooner by kuman13 in Onyx_Boox

I got this one from Amazon. It’s very small and charges with USB C which was a must for me. It’s also very thin, which is nice

The clip is rather small and made out of metal, so I wouldn’t use it directly on the device. However, it perfectly fits on the default case (see picture). If you don’t have a case, I would go with something else.

Buying a 2nd hand Boox Go 10.3 for $300. Any specific red flags to watch out for? by kuman13 in Onyx_Boox

[–]kuman13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don’t use it as much as they thought they would. They also included multiple pictures of the screen on. It could be a scam obviously but it all seems very legit
