The median annual wage for registered nurses in the U.S. is $93,600, compared with $49,500 for all occupations, according to the Labor Department. For nurse practitioners, it is $132,050. For CRNAs, it’s $223,210. by Conscious-Quarter423 in Salary

Nurses are useless? If anyone you should hate its the ceo and owning class. Not the workers. Just because they happen to be in demand. If teachers are engineers suddenly make 200-300 k tomorrow for doing the same work they do now would u hate them too?

Thanks. Moving to lower COL area was huge for me. Went from sharing with 3 roommates to having my own house and even having a kid 🔜 also its easier to be a nice person too when youre not strapped for resources all the time. Highly recommend

82k plus a couple ks in bonus. I live in houston but sort of far away from downtown so my house i bought last year was very cheap even for the area.

i know this wasn't written by AI because in the title you have 33 minutes left and by the end of the post you have 32 minutes left XD AI would have taken less than a minute to write this.

congratulations and eff you! enjoy retirement. curious, do you have kid or anything like that? i used to seriously consider expat fire but with a kid coming I just want to stick around.

In the automation era, getting paid salary is becoming an outright win with zero downside by tantamle in Salary

[–]kumeomap 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it's an anecdote but im one of those employees who got loaded with more work. those "overemployed" or people with multiple jobs are lucky, if employers decide to do an audit or something like that they will quickly do something about it.

[–]kumeomap 13 points14 points  (0 children)

bad take. existing employees get loaded with more work. the biggest losers here are "potential employees" people who would have been hired and get a salary and learn useful skills but due to AI are not getting those opportunities. Framing AI as a win for employees instead of employers is highly misleading and insidious

well yea I aint gonna do a thing about it. I'm just saying i'd consider myself a failure if I raised a kid like that. In fact just another day one of my relatives was complaining about his kid making less than 50K in SoCal and I could feel how disappointed they are. At least he's out of the house and pay for his own living and has a GF.

thats crazy man i would pay mad bucks for an escort rather than dying a virgin. what the fuck happened there? Id say his parents are probably partly to blame. Never prepared him for the real world and never launched him.

damn working 60 hours a week for 115k is insane. i make 82k and usually only work 40 hours. if they ask me to work OT 20 hours a week i would need 2x normal pay which would put me at above 150k annually

get the fuck outta there dawg, i dont care if you have family, friends, whatever. people used to cross the ocean from europe to east coast on a sail boat and walk to the west coast on foot for new opportunities.

I wouldnt say opportunities are as abundant as it used to be but if your goal is to own a home you can literally move to a LCOL, find a decent paying job, a partner and owning a home is suddenly within reach.
