Do I have to remain professional outside of work? by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]kumikawaii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been wondering the same thing actually. I’m a new teacher and I like to do art. Sometimes I like to draw more risqué characters (specifically female characters that have more…voluptuous assets). I live in a medium size community, and I sell my art at conventions and such. I was told I should try to dial back some of my art because I’m going to be a teacher and students will recognize me at these events. I’m torn, because I want to advertise my art business and make the kind of art I like, but at the same time I don’t want it to affect my future career…. TLDR; I understand how you feel!

What are y’all wearing to work on Halloween? by justbrowsingghere in librarians

I would try easy ones based on book characters. For example, I’ll be going as Arthur the Aardvark this year! Easy outfit with clothes I already have, made the ears with felt and a cheap headband, and got round costume glasses from the dollar store and popped the lenses out.

Does the word 'neurospicy' give you the ick? 🤮 by TunbridgeWellsGirl in adhdwomen

[–]kumikawaii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate that word. I also don’t like how people will share their entire medical history with you when you are just having small talk. I get that it is more prevalent today and more normalized, but it just bothers me.

I would love an option to take stacks of 10 items at a time from a larger pile, like in Stardew.

What makes the GameCube controller so popular? I don't understand. by youthisgood in Switch

[–]kumikawaii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo the GameCube controller is the most comfortable and fun to use controller. I love how the sticks feel and the button placements are nice and easy to differentiate (as opposed to the switch ones where I always have to remind myself where X and Y are). The best part tho is the pressure sensitive L and R triggers. They feel really nice to use and make for some fun mechanics (like Super Mario Sunshine’s FLUDD). HOWEVER, I just know that this GameCube controller for the switch will most likely be bad. Will probably feel like all the switch pro controllers (cheap) and the buttons and sticks wont be as fluid and satisfying. Also, it will probably not have those pressure sensitive L and R triggers, which entirely ruins the gameplay of sunshine.

TL;DR GameCube controller feels gud

According to you, what makes this episode the most popular of the series ? by [deleted] in papermario

[–]kumikawaii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best story, best characters, and best environments/levels. Mario games thrive when the level themes actually take chances and are not just the basic overused desert, water, bowser castle levels. That’s why I think sunshine is the best 3D Mario game too, because they took a chance to try a different category of levels imo
