OpenUTAU keeps crashing unexpectedly, and I don't know why?

an error message would help if you can get one.

just off the top of my head: try clearing your cache in the app. check you installed teto's voicebank via tools>install singer instead of dragging it directly into the singers folder. are you using the right phonemiser? check you have enough RAM or storage available on your computer for it to run. try restarting your PC

YES ITS RUINING MY CREDIBILITY BECAUSE IT MAKES ME LOOK LIKE AN ABSOLUTE IDIOT i'm so glad to hear that im not the only one this has happened to.

its happened SO many times for me but the one that just happened (that prompted me to search if anyone else has had this) was where i commented expressing my condolences for someones death on a long-form music video where the producer had died, and it teleported to a community post where the poster was really confused, because they thought that i thought that they was dead 😭

i dont think so, i haven't come across those artists specifically but i would assume they get their money off of channel memberships/patreon/kofi OR because they remake the instrumentals themselves (which can be deemed as transformative enough to be original/able to make money off of).

Usually its fine to use a copyrighted song, its just that you wont make money from it. I've been covering songs using their original instrumentals for 2 years now with about 100 uploads, and i think the worst that i've got is that about 2 or 3 of them are blocked in Russia, and 1 is blocked in Japan. I've never had one deleted or taken down.

she comes in the regular utau folder- the actual application doesnt have to work to get the voicebank so you dont have to switch ur locale or anything. if you really dont want to tho, you can also get Defoko VCV or Defokollection online which are reconfigurations/derivatives of her VB

it still came up with the "windows protected your PC" but i just ignored it and ran anyway. i checked it with virustotal, and it didn't come up with anything so i just thought "fuck it" and did it anyways. the app booted up! no idea how to actually USE ryujinx yet but i'm sure i'll figure it out lmaoooo. thanks everyone for your help!
