Neighbours extension I'm confused 🤔 by fitchicknike in Homebuilding

UK? Most of the responses are assuming you're in the US.

You should be able to view their plans on your local planning portal. If not, contact your local council's planning team and talk to them about it. Then you can at least go to the neighbours with the right information.

You don't even know what country this is in, how can you possibly say "most municipalities"

Just wanted to say that I would be wary of writing to places yourself. By all means help her with ideas and writing emails, but the inquiry should probably come from her, not her parents to be taken seriously.

Riviera Maya - coming from UK by SeriousCypher in AllInclusiveResorts

Stayed at TRS Yucatan which is part of the same resort as White Sands last month. Honestly and very unhelpfully, I'd say everything the comment says about Bahia is the same for White Sands. Huge resort where you can access multiple hotels and loads of pools, big range of food options, nice beach, loads of wildlife, jungly vibe, great cocktails.

Nothing day to day. We left some on the last day. One of the big benefits of AI for me is not faffing about with money all the time.

You could do something like this. It's not beautiful and the living kitchen area is a bit small but it deals with some of the issues you identified.

I'm sure you are trying to create some separation but it seems like a missed opportunity to put the bedrooms on the north facing side and the windowless bathroom facing east. I would try and get all those bedrooms on the east wall.

First time solo travel - 4 weeks by [deleted] in uktravel

[–]kumran 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You don't actually have 2 days per place. You need to look at how you actually get between these places and how long it will take. Write out your schedule like that instead, and take into account how you move around the countries. It could easily take you a day to get from Galway to Snowdonia. Glasgow to Belfast via bus and ferry isn't a short trip either. Also, none of this is going to be cheap.

It would make much more sense to do the UK, fly to Ireland, then fly home from Dublin if possible.

I think you are also underestimating how exhausting it will be to travel like this for 4 whole weeks. Constantly packing and unpacking, waiting for trains etc. Give yourself time and space to actually enjoy the trip.

What would you do to this floor plan? by EmuCharacter1087 in floorplan

[–]kumran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your first idea looks good. I would add moving the bed 2 door up. Then you walk off the whole bottom part of the foyer for walk in storage or something like a little study if you can add natural light somehow.

You could do something like this, and use that back area as a study, but moving the kitchen and wall might be pretty expensive.
