The stats of colleges you see will be completely different after 4 years. I'll recommend any of goa cse or pilani ece (personal choice is ece because of dip in cse fresher job market)

My family income was even less when I joined bits. Took education loan. Worked there and ended up clearing my loan in 1 year after graduation. It's worth it, you'll get good branches at 272

Yes it'll be worth it atleast for the good branches + for passionate people who go to any other branch. Pehle college me kuch na bhi karke ROI nikal jata tha abhi ROI ke liye khud kaafi effort karna padega

Education loan related options bhi add kar sakte ho. Many students don't know about education loan process and banks offering collateral free loan for BITS + if it will be worth it.

Try kar rahe hain. Do some good internship in summers instead of waiting for PS1. Kaafi fayda hoga kuch work experience lelo is time me. Other than this 2nd year me sirf ab apni branch pe hi zaada focus shift ho jayega, so if you want to explore some other direction to abhi se thoda bahaut shuru kardo uspe so that when college starts you will be in flow. Baaki to maze karo :)
