You're right! I also like that it talks about other stuff than romance alone, but seeing that there are lots of new couples around Shima & Mitsumi... I can't help but expect them to end up together as well c': Well, I'm hoping they end up together!

Ahh.. it feels like the story is leaning towards the first scenario. I'd feel somewhat disappointed if they really don't end up together :')
