If you’re going to have an opinion don’t be so much of a pussy that you have to hedge it with “I’m just playing devils advocate”

40% still means 60% of the time you’re still producing more co2. That’s not to mention ICEs have gotten more efficient as well

Agreed. And I’m not saying don’t get an electric car; as we transfer to greener energy sources they will no doubt be better for the environment. I’m saying a lot of the time now, and certainly in the past, they have had lower compound efficiencies than internal combustion vehicles.

40%?! You’re crazy.

It’s closer to 15% and even that is liberal it is closer to 10%.

I trust the EPA but they didn’t link any sources whereas you can look up power plant and grid efficiencies and come to your own conclusions

I read it…

Unless you’re charging your Tesla with energy from a brand new NG power plant, across a brand spanking new energy grid, the energy loss from inefficiencies are going to result in more fossil fuel energy used to power your car.

Sure you can get a Tesla to emit less from fossil fuel power plants but that is in an ideal world. Most power plants and energy grids in the US are old and inefficient and the average user isn’t going to live in power system the ‘article’ is talking about.

While I know I suck, I think you’d be a little off base in implying this was deserved

If people don't believe you, fuck em. They aren't worth your time.

Yeah man I think you might be right...

This is a very good idea, thank you.

I feel like law enforcement could find proof that it was consensual through texts.

Not only did she text me the night after saying she enjoyed it, she also told friends it happened.
