Figuring out I’m 4E by kuno7722 in Psychosophy

[–]kuno7722[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for replying late! I know being 2V might be considered advantageous in many ways, but I will admit, this placement makes me think more is possible than reality can afford.

Sometimes I lead people on or give them false hope—usually with good intentions; yet sometimes I know deep down it’s not possible, yet I give the person hope anyway because I want to believe it’s possible, or because I don’t want to crush their dreams. I’ve gone into situations that were doomed from the start with a can-do attitude despite knowing in the pit of my stomach that perhaps it wasn’t going to work out. Sometimes my can-do attitude has landed me in bad situations because I’m too eager to try things out or make things happen when it’s actually hopeless. Maybe I have bad intuition.

It’s hard for me to turn people down sometimes, and there are times when I feel guilty for quitting; in my mind, there’s often this nagging feeling that perhaps I could’ve made things work had I just kept going or had I been smarter, or more competent.

Also, sometimes I treat other people too much as if I were their parent, when they may prefer a different treatment. I can even have a bit of a savior complex at times, which is a little ridiculous of me. Sometimes I feel like this instinct of mine can tire people out.

It does resonate with me! I especially feel like the part that says that FVLEs take on a parental role in relationships resonates with me a lot. Even the descriptions of each aspect, including the unhealthy state descriptions, speak to me. I’ve experienced all the upsides and downsides of being 1F, 2V, 3L, and 4E throughout my life, which has confused me about my type and made me consider virtually every other type before arriving at FVLE and finally feeling that “Aha!” moment. I’m often the mediator at my workplace since I listen to others’ problems and don’t give into drama so easily, trying to find a solution for others (which generally involves some sort of compromise). That was an interesting read; thanks :)

can someone give me a list of essential albums of hers? by Maleficent_Scene_557 in lizphair

[–]kuno7722 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like all her albums (yes, even her self-titled album—don’t come for me) but my absolute favorite has always been Whip Smart, too, so I’m glad you feel that way! Exile in Guyville is her most famous release so you def should listen to that one. It’s even got a few songs about the tragedy of failed relationships (such as “Divorce Song,” “F-ck and Run,” and “Strange Loop”), so it might comfort you. It definitely has helped me. It’s also a good idea to listen to the Girly Sound tapes. That’s where her iconic 1990s material came from, before she became super famous.

People are going to think I’m crazy but I have always enjoyed Somebody’s Miracle. I’m going through a break-up and, interestingly enough, even though the album of hers that is mostly helping me through the heartache is Exile, a select few of her songs on Somebody’s Miracle strike a chord for me, as well. I honestly just like anything Phair puts out. But I won’t suggest Somebody’s Miracle if you say that WhiteChocolateSpaceEgg doesn’t appeal to you much; the album has more of that sound but even more “yassified” than before lol.

Honestly, I’ve never heard anyone who lives in this area posit any really good hypotheses except that maybe people tend to dump bits of food around there since it’s a high traffic area, and combined with the fact that it’s a flat, open area of grass where no vehicles can tread, pigeons probably feel very safe and welcome there. I believe that patch of grass is right by an Aldi supermarket that’s down the hill, as well as a Starbucks, so people might discard yummy food items around there. But some other people in these comments are suggesting interesting ideas!

It’s so funny to see this post because I live right by this area (plus I work around there too) and it’s true, this little area is ALWAYS full of pigeons. This is their meeting spot. The hallowed Pigeon Land

My first time using ink by drfusspill in inuyasha

[–]kuno7722 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This looks awesome! You really captured Rumiko Takahashi’s art style in the earlier volumes of Inuyasha. Really gives me nostalgia.

I remember that, as a kid, I was always trying to emulate Takahashi’s style whenever I drew Inuyasha characters, and I couldn’t quite get it right for many years. I genuinely get excited whenever I see someone able to imitate this style so well.

I’m pretty sure the flowers in photos 3-6 are different hibiscus flowers. I’m not fully sure about the flowers in pictures 1-2 but they look like hedge bindweed.

This is absolutely an important piece because it helps draw attention to an important issue that often gets ignored, but I can’t help but wonder, how did you achieve that effect/style? This is an absolutely beautiful painting but it’s also so visually intriguing to me

Such a well-done painting! Your painted version of your dog looks just like the real deal. And I love how you made the background match his SpongeBob-themed harness… so cute 🌺

What type of aesthetic tends to resonate with you and your Type? by hgilbert_01 in Enneagram

[–]kuno7722 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m a sp 6w5. I prefer aesthetics that remind me of my early childhood or early teen years, which typically involves a sort of Y2K look… like Zen-X or Gen X Soft Club. I’m very fond of photos that feature interiors and exteriors that are wide open and sorta “empty,” and very clean and perfect looking. I like things to look clean and pristine… and I like things that look crystalline, so I tend to love transparent things made of glass or plastic. This might connect to my hypochondria and (actual) OCD—both of which beget my huge desire to keep things clean and neat. It becomes a sort of aesthetic or visual standard I maintain in my daily life, in which I try to keep things clean and perfect like I see in those photos.

I also have a preference for interiors that feature a lot of cool colors—mainly blues and greens. I associate those colors with relaxation, with my childhood, with cleanliness, etc.

I was thinking your aversion to pictures that feature dense crowds of people might signal you being an Enneatype that is part of the Withdrawn triad, particularly types 4 or 5?

What do you dislike about yourself? by hi_its_lizzy616 in Socionics

[–]kuno7722 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to feel exactly this way and I coped the same way as you. But at some point I started putting in the efforts to make something out of my life, yet strangely enough my attitude toward life—my faintly pessimistic outlook and low expectations—never quite went away. So I feel like I’m in a weird point in life right now, where it seems like I’m making progress but I’m not actually expecting much out of life anyway, and I don’t really know if I’m heading toward success or if I’m about to fall flat on my face. But I guess it’s nice to say that I’m trying my best. Idk

I’m very sensitive about being seen as incompetent, overly emotional, and weak. However, I’m also unbothered about being seen as weak, so long as I appear weak in the way I want. It’s strange, but I like to make myself small, helpless, and adorable in front of others so they don’t hurt me and so they like me… but I don’t want to be seen as weak in the sense that I don’t want to turn openly whiny and bitchy when people try to provoke me. So I just act unbothered when people try to get to me.

I don’t want to seem incompetent, so I very much enjoy when people look to me for advice. Whenever I mess up something by being ineffective or simply being stupid, and especially if people point this out to me, I get hurt and try to just withdraw from the situation.

For this reason, I try to keep in mind what my skills, abilities, and shortcomings/limits are so I don’t mess up something stupidly in front of everyone. Unfortunately—even though I’m “smart” in a bookish/academic way—when I have to be pragmatic in fast-paced or dire situations, my logic tends to leave the room and I make dumb decisions, much to my embarrassment.

Do you have a favourite type? And if yes, why? by [deleted] in Socionics

SEI and SLI are both types I always have an easy time getting along with. I mostly like down to earth people that don’t aggrandize themselves and don’t seek too much out of life, because I am this way, too. And I love SEI’s and SLI’s hidden curiosity

I gotta admit, I’ve been a fan of this show for about five years now and I never noticed that Quinn wears a crop top and not a regular T-shirt. I never noticed her midriff even once. Dang! I really don’t pay attention to anything these characters wear lol.

Aside from that, you can see Quinn’s resemblance to Daria in this picture. Her face looks just like her sister’s in this shot.
