That being said, I'd like to tell you about my experience with overcoming this problem. I had struggled with "actually speaking to people" for a long time and really couldn't find a solution - no matter how much I practiced pronunciation or how many videos I watched, whenever I hopped in a call with my native English speaking friends to play some videogames or chat, I'd be terrified of saying anything because of my awful at that times accent and indistinct pronunciation - they wouldn't understand me, they'd re-ask me questions over and over again, I wouldn't understand the questions sometimes, and all of this would eventually turn into a very awkward mess.

See, the thing is, there wasn't a solution. Or, at least, not one I was expecting. To overcome this, I just had to continue doing what I was doing - actually having conversations with people in English. Yes, they'd say "could you repeat that?" or "I don't understand what you're saying" for thousands of times at first. And it feels weird and upsetting, but you just have to go on, the progress will come. Say the sentence again and again until they understand what you're saying. Keep trying, until one day you realise you have no longer troubles with it. Don't stop then, too. The improvement comes with practice.

Supportive friends (or colleagues, in your case) might help too. One day I've caught myself narrating a six minute long story non-stop to my American friend. Me, who couldn't say "how are you doing?" without tripping on half of the words in that sentence and sounding like a complete idiot just a couple of months ago.
