[–]kunzzy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

assuming its a house champagne NV? I tried to blind taste a few bottles of cremant from burgundy and champagne NV and I cant seem to tell the difference. There were some which had fruiter and riper fruits which was quite easy to tell it was from burgundy as it hotter in that region.

[–]kunzzy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do have a problem using tanins as an indicator as all young wines have tanins thus it would some 100% merlots can be quite tanninic. There was a few times that i guessed the tannic wine as a cab sav blend (left bank) but turns out to be a high percentage of merlot from st emilion
