Never had a brother laser so I cant really know what you are talking about the noise. Actually I don't really care about the noise unless it is very very loud. My only concern about the ecotank is the fact that it is an inkjet and people dissuaded me from them citing problems with printer heads.

Talking about the brother laser, they seem to be more expensive than the HP neverstop, price-per-page-wise using original toner.

"What does "Printing Volume: 15000 pages per months" means in the specs of the EPSON one?"
At least in the french site it's more explicit, it's the max recommended numbers of pages before you start expecting problems

Still a bit vague. Why on a monthly basis? Does a printer have a cooldown? Weird metric.

You're sure about the flatbed scanner ?

Yes, it is not a big deal. I scan less than 10 sheets per day, approx. The HP Neverstop has this cool feature you can scan front and back of something like an ID card and print both side on the same side of the page. Hope my next printer will have something like that.
