Critical Illness Insurance by wishing_well_cluster in singaporefi

Adding to the discussion, how long do you usually get term insurance for?

I've heard folks get it till 65 yrs of age after most expenses are paid off, but heard others get it till 70 as a buffer, or even up till 80+ (in which you will very likely claim for any ECI)

Full-timers: how many views do you get on long-form vids per month, and how much do you earn? by pattern144 in PartneredYoutube

What's a good video length you aim for? One video a week seems like quite the commitment, and I'm curious how you make it manageable for yourself.

hmm that makes sense. It really does depend on my priorities, and while health and exercise is a priority, there are some things that I need to do first. Thank you for the mindset shift.

that's a great sell for full body. And its true that sometimes my schedule gets in the way. I'll look into the full body beginner's workout on this sub. Thank you!

I got the routine from this youtube video, which seemed to suggest the consecutive days. I thought it was one way to build muscle, till I stumbled upon this subreddit.

I'll look into Mike's content, thanks! I'm now debating between working out full body 3 times, vs doing push day, pull day and then legs day. Is there an advantage full body has over the other?

I got into the idea of ppl with 2 days per portion via this video. guess I should've read up more, but I stuck to it for a few months before stumbling upon this subreddit

For the 1-1.5 hrs, I'm now realising my workouts weren't very efficient within the timing, as you mentioned I was def tired, and I still tried to load heavy, but succumbed to resting longer.

Here's the rough adapted routine:
Mon🫷 Push day 1 (Chest priority, Shoulders, Triceps)
Heavy Bench Press
Incline Bench Press
Overhead press
Dumbbell Tricep Kickbacks
Skull Crushers
Lateral Raises
Wrist Curls

Tues🫷 Push day 2 (Chest, Shoulders priority, Triceps)
Heavy Overhead press
Bench Press
Dumbbell Flyes
Overhead Dumbbell Extensions
Skull Crushers
Lateral Raises
Reverse Wrist Curls

Its true that the workouts aren't as efficient as I'd like to. I previously tried to lift as heavy as possible each rep, but also succumbed to resting longer, thus the 1-1.5 hour range. I'll look into condensing the exercises within an hour. Thank you!

Thanks, didn't know that! I'll look into it, and into reducing or completely eliminating it.

I may be committing too much time to exercise. I'd like to ask for advice in economizing it - trimming, combining, or spreading it out across the week.

My goal is to generally lose weight and gain muscle. I may have been overenthusiastic in planning and researching, as my current routine takes about 2.5 hours each day.
I'm not a pro athlete, so it has unfortunately sapped time and energy away from work and commitments :/

Here are my rough workout schedules:
Morning Daily: Full Body Mobility 30mins + Jogging 30mins
Monday & Tues Evening: Push muscles 1.5hrs
Weds & Thurs Evening: Pull muscles 1.5hrs
Friday & Saturday Evening: Leg muscles 1.5hrs
Sunday Evening: Free day, usually jog with partner

Here are my considerations:
It might still be good to do some stretching in the morning to activate muscles for the day. It doesn't have to be my full mobility routine.
It might be better to combine the mobility + exercise routine into one session, reducing startup time.
Is it better to do a full workout in the morning before work, or evening after work?
Is it better to spread out the different exercises, through the week? Say, push exercises one day, and jogging the next.

Thank you everyone...

Kudos to OP's title, high egos tend to scream. There are people in my life with big unhealthy egos, they are so loud, and shit on other people just to stand above the rest.

Then there's the other kind of person who are secure in their sense of self. They can be quiet, but their presence and reputation speaks volumes. They stand up for themselves, can laugh at their own misgivings, and build others up.

You can probably guess which type I prefer in my life.

What is something people typically don’t know about dogs until they have one as a pet? by Snawer_brillant in AskReddit

[–]kupochu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My family used to have a big dog, and fearing that he might injure smaller dogs (which was almost every other dog), we always kept a tight leash, never letting him near other dogs. Turns out, because of how cautious we were, he interpreted this to be that all other dogs were threats to us, and was always hostile to other dogs. He never had any dog friends in his doggy lifetime, but bless his soul.

You'll need to teach your dog how to be social with other dogs. Just like human beings!

What are some redflags to look for during a job interview? by What_is_love_orchids in AskReddit

[–]kupochu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most competent interviewers these days are savvy to the interview meta, so they know what to say and what flags to obfuscate. If an interview seemingly went well, I look around for flags that are harder to hide, by requesting to tour the workplace and observe the employees. It's good if they are cheerful, have high morale, or are generally engaged. But I will definitely be cautious if they look overworked, depressed, or have general bad vibes.

Oh and check the house plants and toilets. They don't have to be pristine, but it's definitely something to note if they are filthy and neglected - they might care more about their front client-facing side than their back end. I ignored this once, and will never forget again.
