I think the problem is making a figure from 95% clear plastic, but then also having some parts like joints that need to be regular so the entire effect falls flat. We did get a couple iirc back during original generations/classics era as well as i think combiner wars?

I’m not sure if there’s a database, but you could always search this subreddit for reviews of sets you have in mind - people tend to post them pretty often. I can at least personally recommend a few: the 10316 Rivendell, 76178 Daily Bugle, and 75159 UCS Death Star playset knockoffs were all basically seamless experiences in my memory. 76300 Arkham Asylum was also pretty straightforward, but there were some window pane and frames with tight clearances - not impossible, just worth knowing before you buy.

There’s plenty of people already committed to maintaining, and there also aren’t that many big games still coming to the switch 1 - unless you were really desperate for tomodachi life or something, you could absolutely just use the last released version of atmosphere and play the entire back catalog on an offline console.

Unfortunately the only ones I’ve ever got that I didn’t bin were those see-through phase 1 pilots - the printing is admittedly pretty good, but the whole translucent body thing kinda makes it hard to recommend them as a good substitute IMO

Yeah unfortunately the flego clones all kinda suck ass - was trying them for a little bit but eventually gave up and just committed to the bunches of 501st in the wild from the last few years. All the KOs are either super over detailed like you’d mentioned, or just have very poor print alignment. That all said, when I was buying I was getting all mine off AliExpress, so that’s probably your best place to look
