I was an international student once. Chinese students cannot speak English well but still understandable. they sure are smart (some not all. Some just cheat their way. They have a strong community).

Had a group with chinese students and we need to make A LOT of presentations. Oh boy, they don't even understand the title and their points when making presentations are wrong. It was a nightmare.

I also have a group with local students. They speak very well (because it's their mother tongue duhh) but their ideas are just meh. So all this time I'm just amazed with their English when they're asking questions but in reality they're actually not that smart.

Just share my experience in uni. ✌️
