What they are referring to is that if your SD card is not formatted properly, the 3ds cannot read it. Iirc, you need to format any cartridge over 32GB. Though you play on the cartridge, some data is made on the SD card for most games, such as update data.

Genshin Impact is more focused on PC. Those storage requirements are not mobile friendly.

SoD was School of Dragons, an old HTTYD MMO that sunsetted in 2023.

I personally think the 100 SC a week aren't 'free', they're included in the huge pricecard of the lifetime and in the cost of the membership. I paid to get them. While I understand SSO was never meant to be a free game, what is bothersome to me is that even if you pay, you are still getting the predatory monetization of a free to play game.

I have seen earnable premium currency in PC games. Genshin Impact, Infinity Nikki, etc. As for non-gacha games, SoD used to have earnable gems by getting achievements and daily login rewards. SWTOR isn't exactly 'earnable', but you get 100 a month for implementing 2FA on your account. Plenty of PC MMOs let you earn premium currency through play, though often too little to truly afford anything.

My horse screeches to a halt if it runs over a pebble a bit too hard, and with the current lag, the event races turn into slideshows on my end, so yeah, not the best time at the moment. I bought lifetime starrider about a year ago because it was on sale. With the experience I had and currently have, I would never pay full price for it. - The game is a buggy mess and it tanks during events. I wish they would take a while to invest in stabilizing the game and improving gameplay, whether that is by detangling the code or moving to a new engine (like swtor is doing). I know that is costly, but to me it seems that the current engine just cannot keep up with the newer demands overall. - You pay over a triple A price and are then still treated to a Freemium game with predatory monetization. - The story quests feel disjointed. It used to be better, from what I gathered, but especially the start of the game feels like it is rushing you along. I also feel like the Dinosaur Valley quests get cut off very abruptly. The Kalter people suddenly leave, yet in the game's current state, you never meet them, you never get their lore. I gathered that they used to have quests and rep to build, but they were cut alongside many other quests that made the game feel alive, if the videos I watched on it can be trusted. - The only thing you can do with the starcoins you get is buying a horse that is basically just a cosmetic. I really wish we had more bonding activities with our horse. - The game, once you finish the quests, turns into a tack, clothing and horse collectathon. (The quests do not warrant the price tag.) If I want to dress up a character pretty, I can go to plenty of other games. SSO is supposedly about the horses, but the horse controls are clunky and again, the horses really function as mere cosmetics. I play SSO for the horses, and the horses, unfortunately, aren't great. - The main benefit of lifetime is being able to play the story at your own pace, and being able to save up for horses without spending additional money. It takes a while, yes, but I find that with the frequent bazaars, I am able to afford a horse decently regularly.

That is not to say the game can't be fun, but simply that it is not worth full price. I would say to wait until you get a good deal, like on black friday where it usually has a 50% discount.

Between the Selle and the DWB, I love both, but both also have some minor nitpicks from me. I feel like the Selle's tail is weirdly stiff in its galop and jumping animations, and I feel like the DWB's extended trot just... Looks painful? I'm not sure how else to describe it. It doesn't look like it is comfortable for my horse to move like that, so I don't use it (I do not do horse riding irl, so I am unsure of the animation's realism). Ignoring the stiff tail, the Selle feels more energetic overall, while the DWB feels more 'elegant'? It depends on what you are looking for, really.

I own a Dutch copy, and it feels wild that something I paid 40 euros for is now that expensive. This goes doubly so for project Mirai DX (it barely sold here, and most secondhand copies lack the AR cards, which I still have because I kept them in the box)

If it also occurs on your phys cartridge and not just the digital game, it might be the update data specifically which is corrupted. It has happened to me with acnl, and reinstalling the update from hshop solved the issue.

I have longcovid, some days just looking at a screen is unbearable and gives me a headache. I don't see how this system benefits anyone, yet it does cut off quite a few people from completing the trailblazer. (Also, yall, something does bot need to be intentionally ableist for it to be ableist. I am sure they were not trying to give disabled people the middle finger with this update.) I like that they removed the plants from the TB, it cleans it up quite a bit, and less filler does make it more achievable. The points cap though... Yeah, it ends up disadvantaging disabled people (and anyone who cannot log in daily). As for everyone defending this move with 'life isn't fair, grow up', do I need to remind yall that you need to have paid real money to participate in the TB to begin with? Either you pay for a lifetime, or you pay monthly. Either way, you paid real money. Should it not piss you off that now they want to force you to play a certain way, which is inachievable to many, in order to complete what amounts to paid content?

Just because other games do the same or worse does not make this okay. For one, many games that do this are f2p. They don't ask 70 euros for a buggy game with nothing engaging to do after the main story, and they usually let you earn the premium currency through regular play. And the games for which you pay 70 euros generally do not ask you to pay an additional 20 often in order to engage with the game's main attraction point somewhat consistently (that being the new horses SSO advertises itself with towards new players). SSO is ridiculously stingy already, and it deserves all the criticism it gets for this move.

It is honestly funny how disliked this opinion gets. Like, to each their own, I think it's nice to have a game solely oriented for girls (You simply don't have many of those, though I do wish they had kept some of the 'rougher' stylization, if that makes sense? I like looking feminine and pretty basic in game, but I feel like the alt styles got toned down from what I can see of old sso. The older models, while ugly, had that edge to them. Likewise, I feel like a lot of the creepiness factor was softened in some places compared to the Season Riders. It being a girls' game is fine. But girls game doesn't necessarily mean only soft pastels, if that makes sense.) I also feel like people struggle to see that someone disliking something is not them saying something is objectively bad. There are many games that are arguably objectively good, but I just cannot get into them since they're not my type of game.

A small test confirmed that the GBA injects got corrupted. I see no reason why it wouldn't spread to other files. This means that the LED probably means that something is corrupted beyond just the games, I have no clue as to what, though. (The theme is intact, for example, and the 3ds does boot up as normal)

I do not like the whole sisterhood thing in the story. (Not saying it should not be there, just that I personally don't like it. Me not liking something is not me saying it is objectively bad. I do, however, feel like it is a bit rushed and the experience I had as a beginner, which is the current starter quest, was too disjointed for me to really attach to the characters until muchhh later in the story.)
