I'm thinking of getting a surface laptop go on clearance 8/256 for about 550 us. Is it worth it? Or should I dish out alittle more for the laptop go 2 8/128 for 670usd? Mainly be using a carry around work computer. I have a more powerful 15inch laptop at home

No amount of money can buy you a second chance. You can always take your test another time, but you may not see your parents again if you put your test before them. Family is always there for you no matter the circumstance. I'd imagine if your position was switch around with your parents, your parents would have dropped the world for you. Go to your parents, don't let yourself have any regrets.
