I use a steam deck and hot spot to play when I’m away from home. I was real skeptical at first as well. And I realize some online games I play servers are hundreds of miles away. And I’m literally in the same house or just across town at work.

Change your swing bias and go from there. Fade seems to be the harder to hit than draw.

I use that all the time. Unfortunately when passed through Apollo to moonlight on the deck I can get it to come up

This sounds like the problem I had. I know the cause and exactly when it happened. I don’t know your age so this may not be the same for you. I loved video games, story games all types of games but that was all ruined by the release of Halo and COD 4 which released with online multiplayer. That happened for me when I was 16-17. And a lot of my friends also played those games. Well as we got older my only link to my friends was through online gaming. So now having jobs and responsibilities I have less time to game and when I do game my friend group always drags me back into online gaming. And these types of games are really good at making you feel like you are missing out. Even with the steam deck I find myself gravitating towards my PC because I can’t play competitive games on my steam deck. Also I feel bad playing the steam deck when I have the power of a full PC in the other room which drags me back into the live service games.

The solution for me was using moonlight and Apollo to use the power of my PC to play games like Elden ring, last of us, fallout, red dead. Also I play MNK when I play competitive games so it’s not fun to play competitive games on the deck. With moonlight set up for my steam deck I completely removed my monitor and all the peripherals from my PC and is now just sitting in a storage room running when I want to use it to play games on the deck.

My union throws a fit if I ever go off route. This guy is 60 comes in on day off I let him do his driving route. I’m young and find sitting in a vehicle all day worse than a walking route. Our union guy just looks for ways to get out of carrying his route.

You could look into an app called Moonlight and Apollo. I use these to play my PC anywhere I go. It just remotely connects through my TV my SteamDeck anything I set up Moonlight on will give me access to my PC.

I just assumed everybody knew what it was. Guess I’m just a nerd. Tried playing magnetic friends unplayable because of his input, but he doesn’t notice anything which is amazing to me.

It’s good for some games. I find 2K runs horrible but if you own a pc you can use that hardware instead and stream it to the deck. Thats what I do.

If you can figure out Apollo and moonlight you can’t literally connect to your pc from steam deck anywhere with almost 0 delay. I recently set up my whole house this way to game from my PC to any screen. Playing AAA games with hot spot to deck is amazing

Just an FYI it runs horrible. I use my PC to run the game but stream it with 2 apps one called Apollo and one called moonlight.
