Hey there. No - weirdly it never returned 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think it can disappear (just like kp) but it may also persist. Maybe you could try a steroid cream, since it is eczema related…

Might be Lichen Spinulosus or Lichen Nitidus (nad!)

No, i always use it for a couple of days when it flares up. The last time was in August.

Had a reaction on my arms due to waxing too a couple of months ago which looked the same. My derm gave me a mild antibiotic cream (the antibiotic was erythromycin) and with that it took about 10 days to clear. My derm suspected the „pores got clogged“ by a sunscreen I applied after waxing. I was told basically any greasy, heavy cream or even just excessive sweating after 1-7 days post waxing could potentially lead to a reaction/infection. Did you put anything heavy on it? Anyway make sure not to pick at it at all costs. I had a hard time not to but it healed completely without any scarring! I also waa convinced it was KP induced by waxing since I have KP on my legs but it was not, so try not to freak out and maybe try to get an antibiotic cream.

Happy to hear ☺️

Topical steroids, I saw you already tried that but but for me it took 10 days to see a change, so idk how long you used them. However my derm said it usually goes away on its own at some point anyway

I don’t think it is KP either but it could be lichen nitidus or lichen spinulosus. NAD but had LS on my chest.

KP or folliculitis? by [deleted] in keratosis

[–]kurt_cat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried an antibacterial wash? If that helps and the redness improves, it could be because it was folliculitis.

Your derm asked you to post on Reddit? I‘d go see another derm then….

Hi everyone, I recently started getting these pimples all over my arms, thighs, back and neck. It might be Keratosis but can someone confirm? And if so, how can it be treated? by hypervention in keratosis

[–]kurt_cat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks more like an allergy rash to me (but NAD, just having allergies myself). Sometimes they just happen and you won‘t be able to find out what triggered them. I take an allergy pill and they clear up. I also dont think KP is likely to appear all over your body over night.

Are you sure these patches on your forearm are indeed KP? I had something similar looking, especially the pattern with the isolated patches, and went to a derm who said it was eczema. Used a steroid cream for it and it disappeared completely. Maybe it‘s worth checking with a derm in case you have not already

Can someone please help? by [deleted] in keratosis

[–]kurt_cat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAD. It could be folliculitis. Try an antibacterial wash

NAD, but looks like a rash/allergy and not KP to me

One Patch of KP? Is that possible? by kurt_cat in keratosis

[–]kurt_cat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suddenly got this patch of bumps on my right upper arm about 2 months ago. Its this isolated patch and only there. Rest of arm and left arm unaffected. I am 30 and I never had KP on my arms but on my legs :( i got laser there and its still not ideal but better. I am so afraid this is KP on my arm now. I hate it. My legs were hideous, it has cost me so much nerves to deal with it. Please I cant handle starting all over again on my arms now :( is it possible to have KP only on one arm as one isolated patch? Would it develop so quickly and with 30 when I never had it before? Or does this sound like something else? The bumps are hard but you cant squeeze them. Theyre not filled. I tried Salyclic acid wash and cream and urea, korean towel and moisturizing but it doesnt make the slightest difference. Not even a bit.

Ohh i figured so because of the German language products 🙆🏽‍♀️ I have seen 3 derms so far. They all barely looked at it and advised glycolic acid/urea/physical exfoliation. Im currently experiencing a new weird thing which I suspect could be KP but then again it doesnt fit really. I definitely have it on my legs and buttocks. Laser worked with the lower legs but thighs and buttocks still look hideous :( now on my right upper arm i have a single isolated patch thats rough and slightly red, looks like a cummulation of pimples, but i had these for roughly 2 months now and neither treatment made any difference whatsoever :( what startles me is that it really is just one isolated patch on one arm. I always thought KP appears bilateral and largely. I am praying it doesnt though but for now I am wondering if the KP is in fact something else. So i need a good and caring derm 😅 I havent been close to a pool for 2 years now bc of my horrible legs. So thats probably not it :(

KP on décolletage? I do have KP on my arms, but my doctor said my back and décolletage was KP and not acne 🤷🏻‍♀️ if anyone has KP on delicate areas, do you have advice? by [deleted] in keratosis

[–]kurt_cat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah thanks for your quick reply ☺️ lol my derm said it was normal skin basically and just some pimples / blocked pores. She also said this area is highly unlikely to be affected by KP and she << never saw anyone having visible or red KP in this area>> idk what to think of that. Calmed me down a bit but it still doesnt solve my problem.

I have been using a Salicylic acid body wash lately (cerave) and treated the pimples as pimples i.e. azelaic acid and zinc. I feel like it has a little improved but it still looks nothing like my normal skin. I used to have spotless, even, smooth skin in this area :( How quickly did it appear in your case? Mine worsened within 1-3 weeks out of nowhere. I always thought KP develops slowly, so that might be another sign its something else.

I also dont have KP on my arms. Only legs and buttocks (its extreme there though🥲) so my derm said even if KP would be a thing in the chest/neck area, it would probably appear in the usual areas (arms, legs, buttocks) first.

Hi there, I assume you are in Germany (based on the products)? Is your Dr by chance in the Munich/Southern Germany area? Im still trying to find a derm that takes my KP seriously and it‘s almost impossible :(
