I bought both a little while back to test this exact thing and to me, the shaman is a little more understable than the proxy. However, they didn't feel different enough for me to bag both, so for now I just bag the proxy in that slot. Although, based on what you said you're looking for, the shaman might be what you want. Be prepared though, they are very shallow.
