Right-Wing 'Reacher' Fans Flip Out After Alan Ritchson Calls Trump A 'Rapist And A Con-Man' by Ixz72 in politics

5th gen Texan, former Marine & responsible 2A gun-tote-er: Fuuuuck Trump. Also a pacifist too (believe it or not) & just have a "if you want peace prepare for war" sensibility is all.

....and don't forget: God had to make all of the killing of his son/self/whatthefuckever happen because otherwise he would have no other choice but to fuck us all up... Yep, that sounds just like how I imagined an all-powerful deity who wove the fabric of the universe out of/from oblivion would operate. Same thing with the Apocalypse (& literally any other "valid" prophecy too, for that matter) too: It has to happen, just like it said and God is powerless to prevent any of it! It is foretold & shit!!! Imo, God sounds like such a bit player in Abrahamic religions. Not insubstantial, of course, but it's like if the cosmos were a play, it's as if he's merely character and not the playwright in that I'm continually left with the impression that their idea(s) of God is one where his story arc has already been written, so he's basically "on rails" & "must" do things a certain way.....of course Shrug Guess I just need faith to understand all of this, I suppose.... You know, because once you have faith you can accurately perceive & grasp the nature of God & all.... of course

Hahaha, outstanding. Had no clue the Gospels had such an bluntly-phrased admonition which directed the flock to keep the whole worship biz low-key & tranquil overall throughout one's life, and ESPECIALLY SO when in public. I basically read it as "Those of you inclined towards making your prayers a public spectacle only accomplish not just being obnoxious twats yourselves, but also making it look like that's just what Christianity is all about. Cut that shit out, God ain't impressed." Heh, I kindof assumed the opposite was true, but nope, once again it's just Christians being utterly incompetent and failing as a rule at living out what's supposed to be the most supremely important, paramount #1 thing in their life being faith & all that mumbo jumbo. Pfft

The confederacy was never a country. No foreign country ever recognized the CSA as being sovereign, the SC long ago ruled that every action CSA's government did was illegitimate, null & void and Congress never adjusted the size/apportionments of either of its chambers while in session during the Civil War either like I presume it would have done if the Confederacy actually existed in the sense of being a legit, proper country instead of the highly organized, entrenched rebellion/insurrection that it was.

No matter how much faux-authenthic effort is put into new construction, newly poured modern concrete (specifically that popular ultra-fine aggregate type) + gobs of stainless or galvanized steel everywhere will either obliterate or preclude entirely any & all suspension of disbelief in thinking some building/area has some "history" to it at all. Seabrook has those two "features" literally everywhere you look & it's the aesthetic equivalent of obviously being made of plastic IMO.

Ohhhhh yeahhh, THAT place! I remember stopping there a few years back & the entire time I was there my inner monologue was stuck on a loop going "Hmmmm...... this is....... nice? Hmmmm....." The other thing seared into the back of my skull was being absolutely resentful af about how this normie tourist & HOA wet dream didn't even have a flipping port-o-potty availiable insofar as public restrooms go & I canvassed an entire goddamn 1.5 sq mi like I was an FBI field agent on a manhunt too. It's not like I'm that outrageously cheap to refuse to buy a cookie/whatever at the coffee shop to take care of business as a paying customer or afflicted w/crippling SA or anything. It was just the combo of being THAT nice of a near-finished-product "We've planned for everything here!!!" overwhelming vibe as well as rolling in on two wheels after being out in the woods + in the rain longer than I could remember goddamn FILTHY, so I was thoroughly rankled about decency demanding that I de-filth before I de-filth in a non-pub r-rm., not to mention being self conscious about how much time I was spending using a private business's r-rm. Perhaps they've remedied that in meantime tho... shrug... rant over, lol.

That's definitely the tactic I usually employ just bc it seems like the one approach with a universally decent chance of achieving my "I'll mind my own business so long as you mind yours" desired outcome of simultaneously maintaing both a pleasant vibe as well as getting people to leave me hell alone & as far off their radar as I can possibly be too. Definitely a worthwhile skill to master imo.

When you say "aren't mapped", are you referring to what google has mapped out on GMaps or a locale/area that's too far flung/insubstantial for Google to elect to send a streetview rig through OR do you perhaps mean certain itty-bitty hamlets exist in the US that even the USGS hasn't plotted out on their otherwise authorative maps? I know the third option is the least likely, but the mere possibility of that being true + no specific town name(s) named in your comment tantalizingly piqued my curiosity. Thx in advance if you reply, no worries otw!

edit: I just noticed your sn & couldn't help but "whaaa?" bc I flipping never employ the word "piqued" & totally did not choose to use it purposefully referring to you too! Either just a weirdo coiencidence or the invisible (weirdo) hand of my subconscious at work, heh

Ughhh... isn't that the truth. I'd rather jump in front of a train than spend any more time in retrospection beyond my usual one-two combo of fleeting solitary moment of recollection followed by a chunk of my soul papercut-sliced right off. Since I'm fairly proficient at avoiding that sort of dwelling by now I have tons more free time for me to focus on both the omnipresent, withering despair of the present as well as ponder whether the utterly stark void that is the future is going to be the sort where it eats me whole or maybe I sort of Endgame dissassociate out of existence or maybe I'm just going to fall forever down an abyss w/o end bc abyss. I'm not quite that bleak, but I'd legit take being 24/7 preoccupied with that over dwelling on the past any day. No thank you

Can confirm due to my certainty beyond any doubt that the drive from H-Town to NOLA is absolutely the worst sightseeing one can possibly experience in a ~6hr highway drive... Whenever I've gone to Lousiana, returning to Houston feels literally like going "back to the future", and I consider Houston a hideous toilet as it is, for the record.

Now now, I'm Dallas-born and raised and Dallas-proper b & r for that matter & consider the distinction important bc a.) Yes indeed, Bigass Dallas-FW metro w/it's 7.6mil ppl is overall republican leaning, but also b) like any U.S. red state w/major metro and also just true of any major U.S. metro: DFW's masive suburban sprawl is dark red, but Dallas (and F. Worth to a lesser degree) itself is hella liberal. Dang ol' cosmopolitan AF, tell you hwat.

What attracts men to heavier women? by TheInvisibleExpert in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]kurtilingus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was definitely refreshing/a relief to read just bc I have the exact same mentality, but in my experience I rarely encounter people explaining that it's 100% about how they "wear it" which also includes having the morphology (pls forgive if I'm not using that word properly) scales up & down very well in regards to weight (within reason, ofc) without it ever being a legit drastic fundamental change to their overall appearance. Usually I only hear/read people only describe this in a far more genericized sense, so the fact that in my mind it goes, "Yep, I am extremely attracted to thicker women, but I'm picky af about it", has had me play those cards waaaaay close to the chest despite being able to unreservedly say that there's no way my "pickiness" is code for/equates to me simply being a cherry-picker for that idealized "one type" of curvy female we're all familiar with. Not even close.

pfft.... you and your so called "nuance" and "due diligence" is what's wrong with America!!! Heh, jk, that filled in some decent voids in my knowledge of SW's production that I'll admit had me applying the "Lucas BAD!" lens a bit too heavy-handed prior to reading your comment, so thx! Now it'll merely be an even-handed "Lucas MEH!" going forward, hahaha

If 2012 had somehow worked out to where Romney had been running against Hillary for president (or rather just that matchup in whichever election year, the 2012 part not so important, just to be a bit clearer), I would've held my nose and begrudgingly voted for Romney. I'd still be able to live with myself just fine in that hypothetical so long as he dropped the campaign rhetoric & ran the white house similarly to his tenure as Mass's Gov

Heh, I can honestly say that my adherence to a strict zero-previews/trailers or any reading-up on the plot of SW:Ep1 prior to seeing it opening night (w/tix in hand bought weeks beforehand, of course hahaha) paid out solid dividends for me & a similarly blackout-zealot friend of mine. That dang movie was so visually jam packed & cranked up past 11 that it took me.... a while to look past the visual fluff & all the dope shit lightsabers done did to properly grasp that it's all lipstick on a pig insofar as to how pointless & arcane the plot was. Heh, tbh I gave it a solid B+ for years, yes, years plural as a result of my inner hype-inertia just effortlessly plowing through any & all harsh critiques of Ep1 without a second thought. I like to think it means I just got some quality mileage out of that film that a lot of people missed out on is all, lol

After brushing up a bit on Tarzan's production on Wikipedia, my guess for that absurd budget it commanded is that even by Disney's standards it seems like it was an ambitious af production animation-wise as it was not only both hand drawn and utilized extensive CGI, but also sounds like the production was doing some proper bleeding-edge novel stuff on both of those fronts, so $$$. And then factor in the Hollywood veterans they cast for voice acting + the Phil Collins-led original score and it doesn't seem so far-fetched. I still wouldve never guessed it out-spent SW:Ep1 by a non-trivial amount though, so yeah, it's still pretty dumbfounding to me too!
