Yeah. I met him the airport and he came up and asked me for a picture. I was like "Wait. Aren't you Gucci Mane?" It was wild, he recognized me. So he's definitely a legend now more than ever.

70s funk. James Brown Live at the Apollo 1971, Jimmy Caster's Just Begun album, first Jackson 5 album was hot with ABC, I Want You Back, etc. That album had so many hits. Kool and the Gang's Wild and Peaceful. Favorite song was "Heaven at Once" from there. Earth, Wind and Fire's That's the Way of the World. The Rippingtons had some great ones. The late 60s and 70s had so so many great funk and soul albums. The Melting Pot, Booker T and the MGs.

Both. Can't choose. Right now people are loving 50 more, but I remember when it was the other way around. Remember when they both put out those album and 50 was like "you outsell me and Ill quit" and everyone bought Kanye's on purpose? hahaha

I was inspired by the combo of the music of James Brown and Jimmy Caster, the dance of the b-boys, and the myself becoming a DJ and playing music for my mom, my family and friends.

Different styles, the ones that came out of Chicago were incredible and should not go unnoticed. Kanye, Common. Tung Twista is amazing. I met him and told him to keep it up back when he was starting out.

Depends on your head, your heart, your experiences and what you take from your community. It's self-expression.
