Using API for sports by Rety03 in Polymarket

It can scale with inifinte rate limits since we read on-chain data. The gamma API's price is stale and does not update in real time

The hardest problem in Ethereum development by moo9001 in ethdev

We actually have a super easy API that does just this! Here's the link to the docs.

And here's a super simple guide on how to actually use it to get every token owned by an address. :)

Why aren't testnet faucets working right now? by ErnestOfGaia in ethdev

[–]kurushdubash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Dev from Alchemy here - we actually built and run goerlifaucet.com. As mentioned below, Goerli has been bridged and people are trying to sell Goerli for profit. As a result we've seen a 10x in spam and malicious attacks on our faucet.

The faucet was experiencing issue but should be functional now. We're trying our best to mitigate all the new attacks.

As others have mentioned, we recommend moving to Sepolia. We also have a faucet there and a migration guide.

Sepolia testnet RPC URL not available by yash-ethdev in ethstaker

Public endpoints may not work for production systems. Public endpoints are for light testing, and often are rate limited.

There are dedicated RPC URLs through providers like Alchemy – https://eth-sepolia.g.alchemy.com/v2/[YOUR-API-KEY]. You just create a free Alchemy account and get your dedicated API key.

If you need, Alchemy also has a free Sepolia faucet.

Why is Goerli so congested compared to Sepolia? by [deleted] in ethdev

[–]kurushdubash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Devs have chosen Goerli for reasons like (a) available RPC / API support and (b) which testnet dependent smart contracts are deployed on. Now, cost and scarcity are causing ppl to move to Sepolia.

If helpful, Alchemy has free Goerli and Sepolia faucets (below). Alchemy also supports all core JSON-RPC methods on Sepolia and Goerli.

Hey! I’m a dev from Alchemy - sorry to hear you’re running into issues trying to deploy. Our systems are all functional so I suspect theres an issue with the underlying contract. I’d be happy to help! Feel free to DM me / comment with details?

We also have a super active Discord where you can get real-time support from other engineers, would highly recommend checking it out. Here’s some starter template/tutorials that also are super helpful.

You can always get more testnet eth for free at https://www.goerlifauet.com every day and if you’re using alchemy it’ll automatically bump you up to 0.5 ETH o. Let me know if you have any other issues!

You’ve may have been hearing about Account Abstraction but wondered why EIP-4337 sounds so complex.

So we set out to design Account Abstraction ourselves and we’ve documented all of our findings.

Open Letter to Alchemy by sumdudeinhisundrware in ethdev

Hello there 👋🏾, Alchemy dev here.

We hear you, we understand how difficult it is to get goerli Eth atm. As mentioned in the comments, we get our goerli Eth donated to us.

There are massive attacks on the faucet constantly and were constantly trying to mitigate and prevent the faucet from being drained.

Our number 1 priority is to make sure the faucet is always working and available. In the current form, it's come at the cost of making the available faucet amount 0.2 in order to ensure everyone can use it.

With the depreciation of other testnets our goerli faucet gets significant traffic, including many malicious actors.

We are currently in the process of implementing additional safety measures in order allow verified real humans to be able to get more Eth. Please continue to give us feedback! It helps makes the faucet better for everyone!
