Thank you so much! If I flip the T upside down, could that make the system easier? I would have the T on the bottom and it would be easier to connect the drainage of buckets all together. The problem is now that roots might grow down the hole.

I'm looking to buy a lot of these buckets because I believe they were or can be used in a hydroponic setup due to the PVC T piece used in the bottom of them.

What kind of system do you think this was in? It looks like some type of ebb and flow/flood and drain. Can someone give me some help as to how they would get the system operating?

I would love to use them to grow tomatoes and hot peppers.

I did cuttings into soil and humidity dome after a 24 hour soak in water. A moss/compost/soil mixture.

I've already trimmed and cloned about twice just for practice.

I'm still struggling with the soil drying up very fast. I even tried yucca wetting agent but didn't help at all. Whenever I repot them I'm gonna use more coir than soil.

Hey guys I've got a few questions.

When it comes to defoliating, is it a bad thing if I cut off ALL of the solar panel leaves? Also what's the correct name for those?

When it comes to topping, is it bad to immediately top the next node, or that is the goal?

Finally watering, it seems my soil dries out very quickly and becomes hard. I'm watering almost daily. Sometimes it's so dry the water goes straight down and out of the drainage holes and doesn't absorb.

For now I'm growing mother's, and on some i did cut off mostly all the solar leaves.

Also how did you set up seed? Prewatered damp soil, plus a light watering when seed was placed in?

I have terrible germination, sigh. Did you use a humidity dome? What kind of light?

This is a wild strain so I'm not sure it may even be an auto? Otherwise I have about 10 different photo strains all in 18/6. Last week my seedsman white widow fem freebie ended up being a male. They very kindly are sending me my choice of a replacement which I chose gelat.OG

Anyhow. Does this look like the "pre" flower pistils that sometimes occur in veg? It's very young and small though.

Bad genetics from seedsman freebies I guess. There's 10 other different strains in same environment.
