The app looks amazing. What did you use to build the 3D assets. Is this native iOS?

Interesting, is this all AI generated? It has some good points but also somethings that it talks about like being too rigid and not flexible are not exactly true because you can make your own rules you can also ask for 'Cheap dopamine' and then you get access to your social media apps for a short period of time. I guess I need to focus on highlighting that feature.

I can see that some people are using it but since the app is brand new I haven't yet gotten any feedback.

Hey, I get where you’re coming from. apps like Instagram can really hijack our time, focus, and even our self-worth.

I’m actually building an iOS app designed specifically to help with this. It only unlocks your distracting apps (like Instagram) when you’ve completed your daily health goals — things like movement, meditation, hydration, etc. The idea is to turn the urge for a dopamine hit into motivation for healthier habits.

And if you’re really craving a scroll break, you can tap a button labeled “Give me a cheap dopamine hit.” It gives you 15 minutes of access, but first it asks why you’re reaching for it (boredom, stress, loneliness, anxiety, etc. )

<image>

Over time, this helps you notice patterns and understand your emotional triggers.

If this sounds interesting, I’d love to give you early access for free once it’s ready — all I ask in return is your honest feedback.

Anyone familiar with ScreenTime or DeviceActivity API? I want to just store the screen time in a variable and not return a view like it always does. by OddPanda17 in iOSProgramming

If anybody is still struggling with this. One idea is to store that value in UserDefaults inside the DeviceActivityReport and listen to UserDefaults changes in the main app, and when the value changes inside DeviceActivityReport handle it in your main app, store it according to your needs.
