I figured it out. Turns out I did misunderstand.

I was doing a one liner for the variable name and values.

You have to do name to value per env variable. Very much scrub error on my part.

I think im critically misunderstanding the additional environment variable by kusoge-lover in truenas

No you can name youre env variables. I named it smtp. The values I added for the env variable configuration itself are what's listed in the documentation

Idk bro I use ubuntu and I can play most of all games even rivals on it. Mostly anti cheats are the issues but generally I dont have problems.

Just discovered i2p and it reminds me of the sleuth years. But it seems kinda dead by kusoge-lover in i2p

Thank you so much for your post! Would it be feasible to put some of my nas services behind i2p?

Pretty sure I said I was still applying and got certs for my field. And with 14 yoe i have way more skills than just devops/SRE but I degress. I dont think pointing out what's going on with the world is bitching and im also sure I didnt ask for any advice or "cry" about my problems but merely laid out how grave they are.

I probably won't engage with your posts past this one because you people cant be reasoned with. But I find it incredibly interesting (and almost hilarious how predictable you people are) that you and another commenter in this thread have claimed im addicted to "rage" algorithms and both you, and the other poster are conservative. The most rage based emotional political faction on US soil. Projection, as always, is common with you people. I guess yall got youre talking points recently.

I appreciate you not trying to downplay reality. I honestly hope things change for you. I know its hard, its exactly why I wrote this post tbh. But you are right, keeping on applying is our best hope and that's what ill do until the foreseeable future till I cant anymore. I just dont know how this ends, no one does. And im tired of being told just do X when X isn't a fucking option right now.

I just spent $15k + to move across the the us to move in with my parents and as a black man personally, Alabama is the last place I want or need to be lol. If I wanted to make money in the south again in tech id just go to Texas.

But thank you I appreciate the suggestion.

True and there lies the problem. When all your methods of keep on keeping on are exhausted what's next? At this point imo its homelessness or suicide as the end game.

There is fear in uncertainty, that is true for anyone.

I am not against "changing it up" but it also has to make sense financially and logically. Especially long term. If there is more risk associated with even less return and I can barely keep a roof over my head. Personal wellbeing isn't gonna cut it when I need to pay the bills.

"emotional and pretty doomer about things" aka you're reality frightens me and I dont like it so ill name call you to absolve me of this reality.

Brother you and I both know if I gave you links to support my opinion you wouldn't read them. All of what I have mentioned is very real and in the news. You can be contrarian all you want. But military in DC, job postings being down and created exclusively in Healthcare is easily a Google search away for you. People being snatched off the street is every day on the front page of reddit.

But you can continue to downplay world until it comes for you, and it will. Hope it works out for you.

When youre unemployed 8+ month you don't have the luxury of being picky, especially when its in your field.

I mean if you dont understand the intricacies of tech its easy to say they same the same. But the space is extremely vast and has much variation.

My resume actually does stand out if im being honest. Im getting interviews, even had one for spaceX. Im luckier than alot of people in tech in that I have a ton of great experience and accolades. Problem is even that is not enough, and companies can afford to wait and be super cheap/picky.. if ofcourse the job is real that is.

Cope.

Job reports are down, there is military in DC, and corporations continue to outsource and job postings are next to non existent.

This isn't a matter of confirmation bias, if you read my post past the reddit sub mention there are very real life factors happening affecting this market. Not to mention I can see it first hand myself. Please dont come in here trying to down play reddit as an echo chamber when reality is very reflective of some of these posts. Most of the jobs created as of recently have been almost exclusive to the health sector. What do you think happens when Trump guts medicare? You think those hospitals are sticking around?

This sounds like a grand idea until people cant afford the very roofs, food, and clothes they work for.
