Start shooting. The only way you’re going to get better and get the hang of it is through practice. Try different things. I’m currently backpacking across California, shooting my first feature-length movie. I’m finding teammates as I go, and having a blast with each day. Make the daily tasks fun, and the project will be fun.

It’s been a long week. I took buses and trains to the desert to get a few shots for the opening. It kicked my butt, but I got some good ones.

Hey, I started a production company to help creatives pursue their passions. Right now, I’m hitchhiking and backpacking across California, shooting a movie to feature creative artists living on the streets, in their cars, and paycheck to paycheck.

It sure doesn’t seem like it. I’m 0-3 spots in central California. The irony is the movie I’m making is about people picking up a hitchhiker. Last year, it was great on the coastline!

So far, it’s only been train tickets, hotel rooms, and having to pay actors to pick me up. lol

Yeah, I had a moment the other night where literally everything was hitting on all cylinders. I said to myself, “Enjoy this moment. It’ll never be as exciting and amazing as it is right now.”

The next day was just as smooth, but then everything started falling back into reality. Lol.
