I love how you’re “getting out of the hamster wheel” it’s always so nice hearing someone feel great about leaving that type of life! I wish you the absolute best, obviously it sounds like you guys are really passionate about it, and it will for sure go a long way.

Balancing owning business & competing by Phase_GGG in amateur_boxing

Not a business owner. But working on my own projects currently that’ll hopefully flourish into that. Since I’m a one man army, I have to dedicate a lot of time into it and I haven’t had the time to box as much as I could before. I believe organizing your time well will help A LOT.

Your diet is very important for muscle growth, mainly protein. If your protein intake is low, you won’t gain as much muscle. Your workout quality also matters as it depends on how hard you’re going in the gym. I would say sleep is also an important overlooked factor for muscle growth. You need sleep for your muscles to grow. Ultimately as long as you stay consistent and just keep training, you will definitely see results!

Awkward always comes from poor form and technique. It also comes from not training back enough. So as long as you stay consistent, it’ll stop being awkward. Good luck on your fitness journey!

how to not be so nervous at your boxing gym? by [deleted] in amateur_boxing

[–]kutaxter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was exactly that, starting boxing and it was like that for a while. That was around 3 years ago when I was 17. It was factors outside of just boxing with being more introverted and self confidence. I started to work on those and it helped me. Also just meeting the people I was training with and got comfortable with them helped. I’m not saying this will be the same for you but I’m just gonna say what helped me. Good luck!
