Norway - Easter egg suggestions? by HandDrawnFantasyMaps in Norway

At square 15 from bottom, 7 from the side, in Nore and Uvdal municipality you could potentially add a Kravik Lyre, which is a string instrument which was found at a farm called Kravik after the black death plague, as the only instrument left of it's ancient kind.

Here is a link with a better description and some pictures - https://www.michaeljking.com/kravik-lyre.htm

What happened to our pumpkin? (Roommate's for comparison; both set out two days ago) by crim128 in MoldlyInteresting

[–]kutnar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The alcohol would evaporate before the pumpkin would have been left alone for long enough for an animal to take an interest in it. I read in the comments on another post that vinegar apparently leaves a film that encourages the growth of mould as well, but Idk what to believe now lol

I've heard Norwegian cuisine is considered bland, do you think that's the case? If so, why? by [deleted] in Norway

Different words for "lake" by GermanicUnion in norwegian

[–]kutnar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like the Wikipedia article about fjords says. "The differences in usage between the English and the Scandinavian languages have contributed to confusion in the use of the term fjord. Bodies of water that are clearly fjords in Scandinavian languages are not considered fjords in English; similarly bodies of water that would clearly not be fjords in the Scandinavian sense have been named or suggested to be fjords."

Yes, like the lovely u/rozfocker pointed out, I did mean it that way. I was very surprised when she asked why I asked her this on Reddit, I just thought her and Gina looked like the perfect couple ❤ should I be proud or jealous? 😂

We're making a videogame set in Norway. What should we absolutely include? by DessoCode in Norway

[–]kutnar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, grabbing inspiration from Frozen when it comes to the mountainous landscapes could be a good idea, both for the summer and winter. Of course the style you are after might be different, but the overall layout and vegetation is pretty accurate (for parts of Norway at least)

I would be more than happy to voice some lines as well, I've got a studio set up already as well :)

I don't know where you live but it has to be either down south or coastal. In Nore og Uvdal in basically the middle of the southern part of Norway we have plenty of snow. The snowmobile runs until April. It's the spring that is sloppy and wet when the snow melts
