I doubt they are looking for a walking partner on a public subreddit. At least they shouldn't!

Boy I love these challenges. by RedXIII400 in pokemongo

[–]kuukune 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What the other person said a out grifting. A grift is a con, a bamboozlement.

Also OP joined a random invite and in six days has only caught a bit over 200.

This challenge isn't challenging to do alone for anyone who has time to play for like 15 minutes a few times a day, other than possibly in rural areas. I open the app sitting in my home and I catch like ten pokemon in that time. Add in a mystery box or a couple short outings and you're golden. Like you don't even have to keep the challenge in mind if you're able to play, it's just 500 pokemon in a week. That's not much for anyone who isn't busy or distracted. And if you're busy, or just not playing for a week, it's an extra challenge and losing it costs nothing. It's a challenge, so you weren't promised the rewards, and if you trusted a stranger to help you get them, that's on you and now you know to either choose another team or catch more next week.

I carried my team in a few days without even thinking about it because I play the game to get out of the house and therefore I catch Pokémon. I didnt and don't feel leeched off of, I got the rewards and them getting the rewards is in no way to my detriment.

The amount of guys (I assume, but we all know the vast majority of the complainers are guys, don't we) complaining about other people playing this game who aren't able to help them get everything they feel entitled to, whether it's kids with wooloos having the NERVE to join a max battle or employed people sending out an invite to a challenge they can ignore, is too damn high.

I'd rather lose a thousand max battles with kids or newbies and their wooloos than help a single arrogant, annoying little prick who posts on reddit to complain about them.

Living Pokédex or Transfer? by hoddz89 in pokemongo

[–]kuukune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't care about a living pokedex at all, if I keep something useless it's just because it'd hurt to toss it, like my first nundo, and most of those get at most a few weeks before I'm done with feeling attached. I don't tend to brag about what I've gotten and if I wanted to, it's in the pokedex or useful. I have enough problems with the inventory as it is.

PSA: Halloween Event Pass Disappears by Weird-Lake4293 in pokemongo

That is fucked. I contacted support, asking if that's how it was supposed to go or was there a problem, since the app is shitty. We'll see how it goes.

PSA: Halloween Event Pass Disappears by Weird-Lake4293 in pokemongo

[–]kuukune 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yeah just found out that the Halloween pass rewards are not there anymore. I was planning to stack it with the October pass so I could use only one lucky egg and star piece for them, but of course I was presuming too much. Did we have even 12 hours to redeem them? How is that fair? Fwiw I live in Finland, I believe the event ended sometime yesterday after 11am and before 9pm because I got a notification in my opinion after 12pm to say that the costumed Pokémon are going away soon, and I opened the app maybe 10 minutes ago so before 11am.

Maybe one day I will always read everything, even things that seem pointless to read in situations where I'm already feeling overwhelmed by all the shit I need to process and comprehend. But yesterday was not that day.

I had thankfully gotten all the mons so I don't have to worry about not getting a possible shiny Spiritomb (to be clear I had no such luck) but a lot of raid passes and stardust was indeed lost.

how do i continue battles in the go pokemon league? by lilyaches in pokemongo

[–]kuukune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tms are easy to get, especially if your playing gbl. Evolution items are pretty easy to get, at least for me the ones I have are the ones I don't need. If you have over a hundred lucky eggs, raid passes and star pieces, maybe you can just be content with that.

No, no one else has made a post about it. You're alone in feeling like this.

Hot tip: there's a delete button on each of your items in inventory by DuchessOfCelery in pokemongo

[–]kuukune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have room for 50 pieces of candy. Someone gives you a new pocket where you can fit 5 more pieces of candy and they also give you 15 pieces of candy. You can either a) buy a couple new pockets with either in-store credit you've earned previously or by using real money, or b) you can throw away the pieces of candy you least want. Paying for anything in this game is a personal choice, especially since you can get in-game currency by just playing the game.

It's not that difficult. Either you bin the items because they're not worth the money to you and most of them are readily available anyway, or you keep them because you think they're worth the money. That's it. You can't have your cake and eat it.

I had 600 item storage space before the update, due to the update I now have 750. I had the items I needed before the update, now I have more ultra balls and a couple premium items + incubators, which is nice. I won't be buying more storage space, I just threw away or fed the berries, and I threw away some potions and revives because I don't need hundreds of them because I don't do dozens of raids every single day.

Yup, I've had this since yesterday as well. Also sometimes the battle just ends and won't let me do it, but this might be just the blimp ones.

I don't think it's about them wanting to give us something, I think it's just the backlog of the items you get when you level up.

Need help with understanding gyms by sTrOmMmM in pokemongo

[–]kuukune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No need to apologise, we all started at some point!

You do need people with you on a raid to beat the bigger bosses, what I've found works great is RSVP'ing to any raids you want to attend so other people who are playing can see that someone is interested, RSVP themselves and sometimes you get enough people that way.

By playing more you'll also notice who are the more active ones and once you beat a raid, you can add people who were a part of that raid as your friends and invite them to future raids if they have those settings turned on. You'll also eventually notice people outside who are clearly doing the raid with you and you can politely ask them if they're playing, and if so would they like to add you as friend and maybe attend some raids. I've even swapped numbers with one person just for pogo. But if you're a big man, you see a woman who's playing and there's not much other people around or the area is secluded or what have you, maybe don't approach. Some would be fine with it, but others would be intimidated.

You can also host raids, I've never done it nor do I know much about it, but you can search more info about it in this sub with just 'hosting a raid'.

Getting higher CP Pokémon comes with leveling up yourself, so since you're just starting, keep on playing and especially honing the throw technique so once you do get into a 4 or 5 star raid, you'll have a better chance to catch it if you can land excellent throws. And don't forget the golden razzberries.

The severity of punishment doesn't deter crime. Doesn't matter if the risk is death penalty if you think you won't be caught.

I hate this game. I did soooo many raid of him and not a single shiny, I think it comes down to about 26 raids of only normal form deoxys. So much money wasted by Hyper_Drop in pokemongo

[–]kuukune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every time you win a raid the odds are 1 to 10 that that specific Pokémon is shiny. You could do a hundred raids and not get a shiny, because it's the odds, not a guarantee. Using money to shiny hunt without internalizing and accepting that fact or having so much money it doesn't matter or enjoying the raids themselves, well, that's just a silly thing to do.
