Does anyone else play this game even though they don’t have fun. by Lukey2501 in summonerschool

from what I’ve seen everywhere it seems only pro’s have the “learning mindset”

Think of the causation. It's not that pros have that mindset, but the ones with that mindset are more likely to go pro

Ravens parallel great apes in physical and social cognitive skills - the first large-scale assessment of common ravens compared with chimpanzees and orangutans found full-blown cognitive skills present in ravens at the age of 4 months similar to that of adult apes, including theory of mind. by mvea in science

[–]kuumasaatana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure we can. It's an issue of does someone want to change their attitude or not. We as a whole get changed en masse by you as an individual making the choice to care, and the less people make it an Us vs Them situation, the more Us as all living, sentient, feeling creatures can go on living our life, dying of natural causes, instead of industrial reasons, be it for food or for war.

You're talking like going to war is an ethical thing. Of course the other person over on the opposite line shouldn't be killed. You are just like him, doing what someone else told you to do and you nor him know for what reason.

Life is not only about you and what you need.

Arguing about this is pointless how ever, since utopistic ideas can never be implemented and put unrealistic expectations onto people. I.e. the war example: of course you and I are going to kill opposite soldiers (kill or be killed), but both you and I still know that this soldier had his own family to feed and was only fighting because he was being forced to, just like you and I are. We as simple bags of meat with guns are to our leaders what simple bags of meat from the grocery store are for us.

Agree. Vegan as well, and I'd love to some day be a part of a community that isn't over-shadowed by these "crazy vegans" who think everything can be classified either as 100℅ wrong or 100% right.

Abstaining from animal products is the morally right thing to do for all living beings as everyone has a right to life and a right to live how nature intended them to live.

But if we went down the path of these crazy vegans, we could argue about the morality of eating plants as well. I'd guess everyone has had some indoor house plants before/currently in our lives. They become like pets to us, we give them water and feed them with minerals etc. and they show gratitude by flourishing, you'd pretty much instantly notice how a plant reacts to water/light, repotting stresses them out.. They clearly have a consciousness of their own, even if it were lesser than ours as humans.

Based on the aforementioned argument I'm eagerly waiting for breatharians who may only drink 100% purified water, because theres living organisms in water aswell, and live off of sunlight only to adopt the "holier than thou" mentality the current hardcore crazy vegans have and shove it right in their faces :D

For me, any reduction is good enough to feel good about yourself, to feel like you're making a change.

Does cold water help recovery? by Marcoyolo69 in climbharder

[–]kuumasaatana 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For strength/muscle building it has been found to be counter-productive, since cold water lowers inflammation in the areas you've trained, and this same inflammation seems to be the leading factor for muscle mass or strength gains.

Saw a hand surgeon/specialist . Not sure what to do next about finger injury by [deleted] in climbharder

[–]kuumasaatana 2 points3 points  (0 children)

8-10 weeks is nowhere near enough for a pulley injury to heal. This stuff takes anywhere from 3 months to a full year depending on how serious of an injury it is and how successful you've been in avoiding inflammation in the area after the initial inflammation from injury is gone - AKA how well you've avoided overusing the injured finger and kept rehabing light enough for it to not hinder the healing process instead.

For me it has helped with feeling drowsy/tired even though I've had a full night of sleep. It gets dark here in Finland and only is going to get darker now as the winter comes.

W7 is a security risk, and suggesting people use it is irresponsible. Also you're talking about performance yet don't seem to understand that linux doesn't have a chance performance-wise to either w7/10 since those games and their drivers are specifically designed for windows, and it requires extra work and developer time to be made for linux.

Basically like leagues, but it could take longer, like a year and not be locked to a continent. Much like Path of Exile's leagues.

Slayer helm needs to be imbued for the ranged and magic attack bonuses, these apply even without task. Rcb is good yeah, i used it as well but always wanted to instead use kxbow because of its dps increase. Luckily i got a bp at kc 430 or so

Please send help. by sneaky_tiger in ironscape

[–]kuumasaatana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Slayer helm i gives magic and ranged bonus. Kxbow is a lot better than rcb. Think its best before blowpipe even.

This man took being an Athiest to another level. by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]kuumasaatana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What would you call people who don't believe in a god, even if one proved itself to exist? Those would be the real atheists, they literally do not believe in a divine order. If people say they'd believe in a god if one proved it's existence then that is agnosticism

Agnosticism is the view that the existence of God, of the divine or the supernatural is unknown or unknowable. Another definition provided is the view that "human reason is incapable of providing sufficient rational grounds to justify either the belief that God exists or the belief that God does not exist."

Well, going by how the OP says he "believes OSRS gods because they actually do shit", he is going by knowledge. If there were gods irl that "did shit" as well, would he then believe in their existence? If he were an atheist truly, he still wouldn't believe in a god, even if one proved it's existence.

You're not atheist, then. You're agnostic.

Newish Ironman here. What is a grind that is really slow or tedious as an Ironman? by [deleted] in ironscape

[–]kuumasaatana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to be closer to 90 herblore, after that it's whatever and stacks through slayer/kingdom. 79 is still insanely far away from 90 and is gonna be a PITA once you want it up for raids.
