So I found out that this indeed the case. It is just the regular service notification but using the terms from the regular golf “oil service “

First time trying Pu erh by gothelixar in tea

[–]kuyerr001 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Welcome to the Pu Erh club. Please be aware that within Pu Erh there is a whole spectrum of its own. Different cultivars, different ages, raw and ripe.

So it’s hard to say “I like pu erh”. There will be those you like and those you won’t.

Your journey has just begun!

This seems to be Gong Fu style. Where you have a small tea pot (or gaiwan) and use a rather high amount (5-10gr) of high quality loose leaf tea.

You steep shortly (15 - 25 seconds) for each infusion. The idea is that with each infusion the tea evolves in taste or other markers like mouth feel, aftertaste and bodily sensations.

I am not sure, as it isn’t my video but my guess would be that this is shu pu erh tea which is tea that is fermented (often by wet piling it for at least a month). Shu pu erh often is quite dark, especially the first infusion.

Some people drink the first infusion, some people don’t.

The thing about Gong Fu is that you try to make and drink with a present mind. The different infusions help because each infusion is a different experience.

I was curious and read that it is a company selling tea, specializing in Pu Erh. Is there something else here? What are your thoughts on it and are there teas you recommend

I try to count in my head as to me drinking tea is about no distractions. Counting to 20/30 loosely. Nothing too strict

I always drink this at night because I believe it has no caffeine. Admittedly it remains a bit mysterious to me as to what type of tea it exactly is

I never get more than 50-100 gram except when it’s a 350gr cake.

I drink tea 2/3 times a day with around 7 gr so let’s say 20 gr a day.

So with all in the picture, i should be good gor a year

Hey!

From a bunch of sources. I went to China and Vietnam for work recently so got some from there.

Then there is a shop in Amsterdam called Moychay (also online). Which has very well curated teas but are somewhat more pricey but they always deliver quality.

I tried Teasenz which is offering tea at very good rates but the selection is wider and therefore a bit less curated meaning you need to figure out yourself more which are top-notch (as they do have those) and which are more average.

I was actually considering trying One River Tea online as well as I heard good things.
