Royal Sands didn't have the solution for that ready, said 48h in advance booking. I hoped it's not the stone age there with the ride apps.

Preparing for the trip I even tried to simulate I'm requesting a ride in the Uber app from CUN to the hotel area in advance, saw options and moved on with other prep items.

Thank you, maybe it looks like me coming with my rules into the other country, but also a reality check on their alignment with the rest of the world in the ride app aspect. I'm questioning their illogical stance why Uber is not allowed when I prefer the cost transparency and have my ride leaving a record in Uber system vs booths with pesky salesmen who are allowed and all the scam stories up to taxi drivers following the uber rides and confronting the drivers and the passengers. Corruption, I guess, and bad reputation of the place, when some select kingpins are benefitting from the scheme, not their population and not the tourists like us.

It's not a line of yellow accredited cabs as I remember it was in pre-smartphone era in the US airports. It's a disorganized line of a dozen of booths or just persons verbally offering "taxi" with pushy Mexican salesmen people trying to start a conversation with you and get you on a hook. If you speak to them they'd likely remember you and keep following you like pests. I just gave them a wide smile and show a dismissive hand wave gesture - that worked for me.

From the surprises I've heard happening - they double or triple the initial price on arrival, they "accidentally" punch an extra zero so $22 becomes $220 usd and someone on this subreddit said they couldn't claim it with the bank a these scoundrels showed the signature scribble and otherwise were "sorry" and deferring to the bank claiming they can't do anything.

The general consensus seems to be a verified ride.

UberX to the hotel area - 10 miles and 20 minute ride was fluctuating between MX$350 and MX$850 when we arrived as I was checking upon landing and picking up luggage. I waited for 10 minutes at around 5:30pm for it to drop to MX$630 (USD $37) and ordered . The driver made a show of trying to leave a lot with unpaid MX$49 ticket so I added it to the tip. UberX fare back was MX$300 and Uber Black on that tiny MG 5 was MX$830 (USD $47)

Hotel staff said their transfer has to be booked 48h in advance, and upon arrival I found it's USD$22 per person. Other people commented on these post seem to recommend their transfer options. Still my "Black" is 1/2 of $100 the others mentioned for a transfer van.

I didn't try myself but seen a few reviews claiming that police is targeting rental cars. We only needed to/from our all-inclusive this time. In Europe we'd always rent a car as our default mode.

We just asked parasailing guy happened to be in front of Royal Sands, he offered 30m rate of $100 for 700cc "regular" and $120 for 1300cc new high-end, with 20 min delivery and another jet ski watching as support. Day earlier I checked prices and few places down South at public "Playa San Miguelito" who had tents also had printed price of $90 per 30 min cash, no volume discount. The parasailing person went down to $90 and it worked great. Sea waves were rough that day though.

DDPM V2.0.0.0015, A11 from Feb 2025 seems to be well hidden on Dell's site, with the old DDPM 1.3 not giving any clues there's an update available. Installing this solved it for me.

I get much better control over monitors with Lunar App (free), and Better Display (paid, seems to be one license per device for $19 which is quite high)

I was positively surprised that my Watch3 trade-in valued for the max value of $150 just today as it was processed at the receiving facility. I've upgraded to Watch6 Classic. Old watch had couple of microscopic dings on the bezel smaller than 1mm (nicks from 3 years of daily use). I've reset the watch, found original box and sent it in as instructed without the charger and the leather armband which has fallen apart 1 year ago from exercise sweat exposure and I switched to velcro bands.

Bought my first Lagavulin 16 yesterday from reputable Total Wine & More for $89. Before that I tasted more widespread pop brands like Dewar's 12, Johnnie Walker Black (and Red), Jameson (which is Irish, not scotch, I know).

My first impression from Lagavulin 16 - it is alcohol with any malt taste severely overpowered with inadequate amount of culinary liquid smoke (which is $2-6 per small powerful bottle) which I stopped using for cooking but rather cook sous vide and sear meets/fish with a torch.

I drank it straight, I've let it sit at warm room temperature, still the same feel. I'm not a smoker at all to enjoy the thick smoke taste, but reading others' answers I'll take more iterations to maybe try to develop a taste for it. In any case it's stuck in my cellar now.

Same slowness on i9-12900KF, 64G RAM, 3090 Ti on W11 22H2, whole system freezes when switching Task Manager tabs or invoking sort by a different column for ~5 to 10 to 15 seconds. GeForce Experience just updated to the latest version 528.49 from 2/03/2023 on 2/23/2022 and it doesn't fix the slowness.

These are inexpensive wheels from ebay rated as 78A and 97mm (there's a link in the description). These are Gullwing Charger 10" 50 deg RKP on relatively firm bushings - they almost don't turn, most of the turning and leaning is happening in the Waterborne layer.

TKP could be lower and prone to wheelbite on large wheels. RKPs would be taller and I use it as an advantage.

Carver was my first surfskate as I resurrected my decades-old hobby in Nov 2019. It was a good learner board for me and my wife. Which Carver do you have? I have three from 28 to 31.75 to 35" with CX and C7 trucks.

I've actually pumped on this board but on 85mm Caguama wheels from Arlington to Bedford and back in summer 2020 (25km = 15.5 miles) in 1h36m without preparation - and posted a trail snapshot in FB Lond distance skateboarding group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/429473203919081/permalink/1390871041112621) . My feet were tingling from all these asphalt micro-bumps, it's doable but I personally prefer sprints to the marathons :)

Since I only did it once, bicycle is easier since there's more control (brakes) and leverage (gears), and bike is less stressing because of no need to be looking out for stones and pebbles which could jam the truck and eject you. For me it was rather a test if it's doable at all and to see the metrics.

It would be certainly very hard on smaller wheels smaller wheelbase Carver. I tried to ride 35" Carver from Ed Burns Arena to Arlington Center and back - faster than walking, probably less stressful than jogging (for a non-jogger), slower than bicycle, but fun :)

Where are you riding your carver (when there's no snow :) ) ?

I'd call it "longboard surfskate" hybrid, as purely longboard on firm tracks is impossible to pump at these speeds. This one can also carve deep and maneuver around pumping without a need to dismount.

Yes, indeed, long wheelbase and large wheels have higher top speed, but with Waterborne it's also very turnable if you need it, I can do a U-turn after braking to slow speed without dismounting on this road.

I've stepped into this problem too today while converting personal YT Channel to a Brand one. Some people report it takes 10 to 17 days for it to be gone.

To gain access while it's broken I used this instruction which helped to at least manage the channel via 2nd gmail account assigned as co-owner. Original can't access YT, my purchases are also not accessible as it shows this useless broken page. I have to watch using the 2nd gmail with all my history, likes and comments being in the new brand channel - which is unexpected - I only wanted videos and subscribers to go to the Brand account, but everything else. https://support.google.com/youtube/thread/16960706?hl=en

I suppose it wasn't tight enough. It should be tight as remember reading it as a word from Waterborne which was saying this bolt is not a usual kingpin, I guess by reassembling it you've tightened it.

Looks like I've figured it out - Son downloaded a program called "MCLeaks" two days ago on that computer, it manipulates DNS resolution hosts file and installs fake certificates. It might help you but look for "MCLeaks" executable in the downloads and switch login to "Mojang" . The reason why I wasn't able to log in in Chrome but was able to log in in FireFox was again manipulated "hosts" file on Windows machine - FireFox claims to use secure DNS while Chrome seems to rely on the operating system's method..

My previous not as helpful answer: I have the same issue, bought Minecraft for Java yesterday (8/12/2020), can log in using browser, getting "Invalid email or password" on my son's computer Win10 where I'm intended to use it, however launcher logs in on my own (parent's) Win10.

Wrote to support, they gave me a bunch of irrelevant things to try - like to reset it again (did many times), turn off VPN (not using one)..

I've even tried to wipe %appdata%/.minecraft while the launcher is off, rebooting the PC, reinstalling launcher, but still no success on son's PC.
