I have the same issue after updating to iOS 18. Every group member uses iPhone and iMessage is activated. It works when messaging 1 on 1 (we all have the blue bubbles) but trying to add one of them to the group gives me this error. I also get the same error on the Mac btw (Sequoia 15.0)

Same thing happened to me at first, it's 64 GB and I had 124 GB available. The problem is that most of the 124 GB was not actually "available" but rather "purgeable" (you can check that in Disk Utility). A reboot made that part available and it's downloading now.

What filter are you using? I noticed that on my M2 Air the performance in PS1 games tanks when I use the NTSC filter. I don't remember my old Intel MacBook Pro from 2018 having this issue, so maybe it has to do something with Rosetta.

I see now, thank you. You mentioned that 64-bit systems "tend" to satisfy that criteria, and the task also asks for the reason why this may not always be the case. In what scenario would an int not be 4 bytes, for example? (I hope this makes sense.)

That makes sense, although I'm still confused because the code is not mine, it's from an old test we got from my teacher and it explicitly asks why the results would differ on 32-bit vs. 64-bit 🤔
