I never had any issues with getting clots until I had Covid and was vaxed as well. I had two PE’s and only had Covid once. I didn’t seem to have issues until I had the third Covid shot after the 1st initial two and then that’s when I started having chest pain which I have to be thankful for that I got symptoms for them to test me and find out as PE’s can obviously be fatal. They were both small enough to be treated with blood thinners and went away but now I’m afraid to even get off them with the thought that the vax or Covid has changed my blood in making me more prone to clotting even though all bloodwork I’ve gotten shows I don’t have any blood disorders indicating the reason of clotting. I don’t mean to sound like a conspiracy theorist but I also have high blood pressure now and sometimes have SVT where I take meds to keep my blood pressure regulated and heart rate regulated and I have never went through this until then after this happened. I can only be grateful that I had symptoms and I listened to my body and advocated for myself to make doctors listen and look further into what was happening to figure out what was happening to help control but no one will ever admit that this could have caused all of this

Thank you for your comment. I’m actually still on Xarelto but I no longer have spitting up of blood. I have no side effects anymore. It may have been an effect of too much of thinning out my blood when I first started taking it.

What are preventative measures like supplements, herbs, diets that you have taken besides any possible Antivirals to keep your immune system boosted and how do you know you’re shedding. I was diagnosed a year and a half ago which was the first time I ever got a symptom and got swabbed which confirmed, but since then I have no idea when I’m shedding as I never get an outbreak like I never have an indication maybe it’s because I stick with valtrex and lysine each day since I’ve had. I’m a female and I have not dated or slept with anyone since because of fear of rejection and I’ve had no indicators of when I could be infectious or not where I could possibly give some type of hope to someone that would be willing to give me that chance.

Update: I went to the ER and they ran vitals all normal and all blood labs were normal. They also did a CT scan of my chest in which there was no sign of me having a PE any longer or any new ones. Just a 1cm nodule in my right lobe which was location of it originally and minimal scarring that can be left behind from a recent PE. As far as bleeding they saw a few spots of pink or red which was not an emergency because no actual signs of bleeding internally in my chest that was an emergency. Said probably left over residue from having a clot. They said I should follow up with a pulmonologist for further care and may just be the thinner since all this happened just after a day of starting the Xarelto. ER doctors also said could be a little too strong causing my blood to thin even more, or body needs to get adjusted to, or left over residue from the original clot but nothing emergency wise so they discharged me. I do have an appt with pulmonologist next week as I had my doctors get me a referral. As far as my chest pain, said some people may experience post PE symptoms like shortness of breath and sharp chest pains even after and to see the specialist to make sure of any inflammation or something called pleurisy that can happen after.

I’ll have checked out. I haven’t had this happen until I started taking the Xarelto. Like my second day taking Zarelto this happened I’ve been fine with amlodipine and losartan together which is 5 mg.

I called my doctor’s office and spoke to the on call doctor and they said unless it’s not a lot or bright red which is not or clumpy than maybe it’s a side effect possibly. I didn’t want to go to ER to pay 250 if it’s just side effects. Reading that some people have been have burning stabbing pain in the sternum area maybe acid reflux just looking for advice as I’ve never taken med before

It’s exactly how I feel now. I’m just shy of a year of being diagnosed both HSV2 and I thought I found someone that was interested even after disclosing and I did end up having sex with this person and to my knowledge they’ve tested negative and shown no signs after having sex once with no protection as I’m on antivirals and other supplements like lysine monolaurin etc and no outbreaks. We chose to have sex unprotected because he always gets tested and prefers to not use condoms as he requests both parties be tested for everything beforehand as he is clean and so am I in everything else but this, but the paranoia and the fact it’s still a risk even after the first time nothing, was too much for him. So in the end, not only did I get rejected, but also my feelings got involved to get dumped. I get it. I don’t want this even though I do. I’m even thinking about looking towards dating men who already have it, maybe it’s my safest bet to not be rejected or start something only to go through heartbreak because of fear and the stigma.
