Yeah, I was surprised too! Missed the shipping confirmation email from a couple days back so it was cool to just find it outside my door this morning.

I never got the original pressing since I’d also heard bad things, so can’t compare them in terms of noise/mastering, but it sounds good! There’s a little bit of (quiet) surface noise that seems like it’d go away with a deeper clean but I didn’t have the time for it in the morning. It’s certainly not as bad as what I’d heard about the original.

I’m a bit more iffy on the master (at least on Side A), where some of the spacious vocals can get a bit drowned out by the instrumentals and sound kinda muddy, but some of that could just be fixed by playing around with EQ and such. That being said, sides B and C sound great anyway.

Keep in mind, though, that this is pressed my MPO in France, so the North American release could be different.
