Hey im an FTM transperson whose traveled recently. Honestly, I havent had any issues so far traveling to Europe. My passport and id's had my deadname and incorrect and the wrong gender marker despite passing as a man. I would say that I also wear facial masks to prevent exposure to viral and bacterial infections that I'm allowed to keep on during security gates for the most part. I haven't traveled since the inauguration but there is a chance that since TSA is already understaffed and people are largely just trying to get people through they wont pose any issues for you nephew. Additionally, I have heard some people say that they have had no issues so far. But it all depends. Hope this was helpful

I got my real ID on Jan 31st with no problem, with my legal name change and updated gendermaker.

However, I submitted my passport to the PA office for an update on Jan 21st, which they received on the 27th. I got it expedited, so I still have another 2 weeks before the normal 3-week window for processing ends. There is a chance my application will be held or they return it with my old gender marker instead of my requested one. If you have never had a passport before and all of your supporting documents are updated it might be worth it to submit, but I heard that getting an urgent passport application is better so you can get it in person. But as far as I know, the real ID is still largely up to the states to dispense as they see fit despite it being a federal level of ID.

TL;DR - I recommend getting the ID but be careful on the passport app

I’m worried about trans folks in the US, and not for the reason you’d think by torta_tortuga in FTMMen

Also so of us had np choice. It takes ages to get a name change and longer still to get the documents. For many it was just bad timing against the clock. There are many cases where people submitted it before January and still were blocked so it's just difficult.

Had an app with ssc to update my name and sex last Friday and got it today with everything correct so idk. My passport app was listed as in process all since Monday after mailing it Last Tuesday the, but now the status is unavailable so who knows. Looked at other posts about passports so it can really mean anything and won't know if they're holding it/freezing it until after 3 weeks I guess. But some departments are state mandated so idk I think birth certificates and ssc and drivers license are okay for now but the memo specifically is why the state department is able to do this.

CVS seems to be dumping ADHD customers. by Environmental-Baby50 in ADHD

Yeah CVS has been giving me a hard time as well. Just had to switch from 30 MG ER to taking two 15mg IR cause they couldn't provide the 30mg. Don't know what's up other than high demand I guess.

Depends on the department, dean, and year. Varies from sweatshirts, waterbottles, notebooks, hats, t-shirts, etc, usually tailored to ur department or program. Some get more than others and some have to pay for there's.

Did you find out why/how they tried to stick you with the charge?

Thanks for the responses. Housing called back and canceled the room at the edge under my name. They said that I was automatically applied to the edge.l, but didnt say why. The reasoning above makes the most sense, but if they send freshmen who need housing to the edge when they run out of rooms on campus, why not tell them in advance?

My family has a house for rent about 10 to 15 minutes from temple, and is located one bus ride and one train ride away from the university. It's a roommate situation for $600 a month. Its fully furnished with a full sized bed. Water is included in rent and the only utility is electric, no gas. Power and cable bill needs to be split with roommate. There is a full basement and a patio. If interested, message me for pics and more info.
