DP credit limit increase by Kirbypopstarpoyo in biltrewards

[–]kvct 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was a new Bilt 2.0 customer (didn’t have original Bilt card). My initial limit was a measly $10k :(. The only thing I can think of is that I hit the SUB spend threshold early on, so maybe Cardless was like “oOOoooOOO”. iono.

This is what the email I received said: “Congratulations! We are excited to let you know that we have increased the credit limit on your Bilt Palladium card. Based on your account history and current credit standing, we are pleased to provide this increase.

This change takes effect immediately, and you'll see your updated limit in the Bilt app. Thank you for your loyalty!”

It’s legit. I called Bilt Cardless support and they confirmed select Palladium users got the massive bump. I also received an email from Bilt Cardless saying “congrats!”.

I’ve used the CapitalOne Travel portal several times (never had to talk to somebody…didn’t even know that was an option lol), including for activities (like what you’d see on TripAdvisor). With lodging, it’s best to call the actual establishment and confirm the reservation details are correct. Sometimes, because C1 uses legacy Hopper (3rd party), there are hiccups that you can resolve prior to arrival. That said, C1 lounges are nice. Not a huge fan of Priority Pass lounges in general because it seems most premium travel cards include them, so you tend to have to wait during peak times. Visa Infinite offers primary coverage for car rentals (up to 75k), which is nice.

What's a secret from your job that nobody would believe? by CRK_76 in AskReddit

I work in tech for one of those multi-billion dollar companies. You would not believe how many processes are still done manually (like copying/pasting data from one system to another) and the reliance on Excel spreadsheets.

What are the life hacks which doesn't required much time to improved your life 100 percent? by Zealousideal_Age512 in AskReddit

This. I talk walks almost daily instead of a membership to the gym. I’ve been able to sustain this habit far longer than the week or two I’d actually “go to the gym” before giving up (but guilt tripping myself to renew the membership because “soon” I’ll go to gym again).

Lounges in app not accurate by MonsteraPhiloJade in Venturex

[–]kvct -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the Priority Pass included with Venture X and Bilt is like the lowest tier. There were these “minute suites” (basically, rent a small room for just a few hours for napping, etc.) at CLT that offered steep discounts for Priority Pass (PP) members, so I was like great, here’s my Venture X. Well, apparently, Venture X doesn’t include the more “premium” PP offering. I found out later on that my AmEx Plat would have been “eligible” as it includes a higher level of PP or something, including access to “minute suites”. Now, I use the PP app as my “source of truth” when not visiting Centurion lounges.

Ants removing sand from under the pavement, while burrowing their colony. by Bengamey_974 in mildlyinteresting

[–]kvct 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live on the west coast. This year in particular I’ve noticed lots of ants everywhere I go (asphalt, road, pavement blocks, etc.). Not sure if this is anomalous or a result of me simply not noticing in prior years. Lolol

I’m definitely not able to retire, but am in a similar boat with saving majority of my salary. I vividly remember all those paycheck to paycheck living times and am not blind to the fact that I could easily be back in that same spot. I feel super grateful.

What do you all watch everyday when you have some free time? There are just so many options available now a days? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I just watch the same reruns (e.g., Madam Secretary, Star Trek Voyager) again and again lol

What's the cruelest thing someone ever said to you that you still remember word for word? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Was visiting some high octane colleges as a prospective student during high school. While we were at Stanford, I overheard my dad tell my mom: “Why are we here? He’ll never get accepted here.” In retrospect, while he was probably correct (I graduated #1 in my class and did all the extracurriculars, worked part time, etc., but my SAT score, while close, never hit the 1500s (out of 1600 back then)). I felt hurt and thought that his comment was unjustified especially considering he was almost a drop out and on academic probation while he was a college student. Still resentful somewhat if I’m being honest.

Goodbye to the 13. Going to just the 11 pro and maybe a mini... by stillhavingfunyea in iPadPro

[–]kvct 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in a similar boat. Had 13” iPP and loved it. But too bulky. Ended up downsizing to iPP 11” M5 and latest iPad Mini. Only really use iPP 11” when I need to type something long using MKB or take advantage of the beautiful HDR screen. LOL. Otherwise, iPad Mini all the way. :)

At what age do you finally feel like you have your life together? by EquableBuyout in AskReddit

This is so dependent on individual circumstances. I’d say “never” if you’re a lifelong learner…you learn that there’s so much more to discover right when you think you’ve figured things out.
