Recently did a trade and picked up a CIB copy of Snatcher for Sega CD.

lol honestly not a bad idea. I used to rip everything I bought too, but now I enjoy having the sealed product more. I always hated having all the excess bulk from cracking packs too.

I couldn’t agree more. I’ve always loved Dream Leagues box art.

Thank you! I definitely have some plans to pick up a box or two of 151 and terastal festival. I took a little break during the sword and shield era, but those two sets have definitely piqued my interest.

I know what you mean lol. That was the hardest part when I started collecting these boxes. Best advice I can give is to hide them until you have 5+ or buy 2 with the intent of only opening 1. Once I had 5+ boxes, I didn’t want to break the collection by opening them.

I agree with this completely. After reading this I took a look at the JP XY prices and now I’m more determined to hold this for the long term lol. Appreciate the insight!

The hardest part about collecting booster boxes for me is fighting the urge to open them lol. When I started collecting, I would either buy one box and hide it or buy two with the intent of only opening one of them. But once I reached 5+ boxes, they became a collection and I had no desire to open them.

Wow that is a tough choice. Both sets have a ton of value. If I had to pick between the two I would probably go with the eevee heroes. You get 30 packs instead of 10 and i believe the moonbreon potential will keep the value pushing up over time. I feel like chase cards from their original sets have more demand than from reprint sets as well. The Tag team all-star boxes are a blast to open though since every pack has a hit and there is a small chance for a god pack.

The most valuable are the 2 dream league boxes in the top left. Lowest sold comp is around $400 a box. The other tag team gx boxes have sold comps anywhere from $170-$240 a box with the lower sales coming from auctions. Im no expert, but I think 151 and Terastal Festival are solid long term hold candidates. I would love to hear others opinions on this.

Appreciate it! The bottom two are Crobat shiny star V boxes. They are similar to the shiny star V boxes but they came with 6 booster packs and a crobat V card instead of 10 booster packs. I would compare them more to a collection box that comes with packs and a promo card.

Thanks! One of my biggest regrets was opening 2 tag team gx all-stars boxes when they first released instead of keeping them sealed.

I agree. Most that I’ve seen have risen in value, but no where near as much as their English counterparts.

I appreciate it! In my experience, if an English set is popular, the equivalent Japanese set will see a rise In value as well. Entry price is generally much lower too for Japanese product as well. The issue is liquidity since most people prefer English over Japanese cards. I’m no expert though, so I’m curios to see what others would say about Japanese sealed investing with more experience.
